There is a natural progression in the world of art and creativity that I think is really helpful. I, too, couldn’t afford any of this stuff at age 17, but that forced me to be inventive with cheap and readily available stuff. In fact, my most inventive years were the 3 or 4 years I couldn’t modify my setup due to $

I remember seeing those Eurorack modules at Moogfest 2016 - I can’t remember listening to them though at all! Maybe because what I remember from that room was having a random chat with one of the technicians building the Minimoogs and us going from a cold “how ya doin” as he was building, to discussing how we are all just electricity flowing like electricity in a musical circuit, then ending with a hug. And later, seeing Bernie Worrell come in a wheelchair and have a quick play on the minimoog - I’ve thought subsequently (not 37) that this was possibly the last moment he ever played a Moog in public as he died only two or three months later. Moog/Moogfest was/is an amazing place.

Hey!!! OH noooooooo, I was hoping you'd say you heard them...so what they actually are or soundalike remain a mystery... I kinda think they're somewhat generic, but I'd like to actually go to Moogfest in the future, at least I'll be able to build one of these super rare instruments :)

Of course we need more synth content. I mean, there are plenty of channels out there shilling the latest gear. But outside of AudioPilz and his Bad Gear series, there aren't many folks making videos about existing stuff. Also, since you buy your own equipment, I tend to trust your reviews more than anyone else's. Finally, you are literally the only one in the synth KZbinr community who is consistently funny. I still put on your MicroFreak review around Halloween, and I don't even own a MF anymore

Great video as always. Do we need more synth content? Well yeah, I‘d love to see more about your thought process when writing or recording music regarding synth. When do do reach for which kind of synth you own. Do you replace or change a part, even if the track was based around a synth line for example. You do mix other nonsynthesized instruments a lot with synth too. In that context: can a handplayed bassline on a synth ever be as cool as a well played bassline? Okay sorry - of course - but do you get where I I‘m at? 😅 those kinds of things I‘d love to see from you. But I‘ll watch everything else too. Thanks a lot!

the Model 10 and Model 15 really piss me off. The hand wired aspect of them makes them so expensive they are out of reach of most of us. In the current state of the art you can replicate just about any circuit with SMT. Which would not only sound the same, but be cheaper, more robust, and reliable. Downside is repairability. And the purist nerds that want a hand wired synth like their grandfather played. I love moog, but I really wish they would make either Eurorack or a 'working class' Model 15.

I do not like moog's website. It's flashy, poorly laid out and almost completely useless. It's no knock against moog machines though. I've noticed a lot of websites are getting that "slick and shallow" treatment these days. The kind of thing that's meant to catch someone's eye while wasting time on a phone, not so much an in depth website. When searching for moog info or machines, I found a generic web search engine a lot more useful than moog's own website, so I'll leave it at that. :/
