I now share your love of squiding. Went out of Port San Luis last week and got into them. I couldn't stop. Jigged 4 hours and ended up with 28 pounds, enough to eat and keep for bait. It's so fun I didn't even care if I caught any fish.

The squid quality recently was the best I’ve had! Have you done a squid trip with an ama on? I recommend it. You can grab the sinker and drop all the squid on the tramp all at once. Saves some time and energy, and less likely to catch a finger on the jig 😂. Crab up next! See you on the opener maybe

💛..squid(calamari) at the grocery store is up to $20 for three pounds (up from $15 for the same a couple weeks ago)... they're usually in the 8-9" size, maybe a dozen in a box...some of your's are huge...you had a very productive day...
