The Moonbeam Beanie crochet pattern is a wonderful hat design for both men and women! It features a subtle texture that is fairly easy to work! The Moonbeam Beanie design features one of my favourite stitches: the herringbone stitch. This stitch when turned at the end of each round resembles little braids. It is an easy way to add a bit of variety and texture to a design.

Hello everyone! The voice over for round 4 of the hat body is missing (at about 9:42 in the video)! The written instructions are as follows: Rnd 4: Ch 1, hhdc in the same st as joining and in each st around. Join with a sl st in the 1st st, ch 1, TURN I apologize for the inconvenience! Sarah

No need to apologize, even without the sound you can clearly see what to do. 😊 Sarah, I love all of your work, everything is beautiful!!!!! You are one of the BEST teachers on KZbin, if not THE best! Your tutorials are so good, the way you talk and explain what you're doing. Your videos are not filmed directly above your work, your camera is exactly where it should be, It's as if I am looking through your eyes at your work. Please don't ever stop making your crochet tutorials. Thank you for all of your hard work you put into making them?!!!

You have such lovely hat designs I’d love to make but my mum’s asked for a plain up and down ribbed beanie. Think I’ll have to look at a nice ear warmer I can make to go with it just using the middle of one of the designs.

Question please to clarify. In Round 2, HDC in next stitch, Round 3 , SC in next stitch, Rounds 4,5,6 stitch in same stitch as join Are round 2 and 3 correct, or should they also start in same stitch as join? Also, ch 1 and turn, then says to ch 1 - we don’t ch 1 again, correct? Thank you so much, love to get it right!

I just discovered this too. I'm guessing the video would be correct and the written pattern isn't. I'm marking out what's on the pattern that she doesn't use in the video. Since I don't see a clarification from her, I don't what else to do. I love this pattern too & want it to turn out as nice as hers.

Hi help please? Row 4 & 5 of the pattern clearly say to HHDC into the same stitch as joining. However on the video on Tow 5 you joined with a slip stitch and starred you HHDC in the next stitch, I’m wondering why and how that would effect your stitch count? Thank you in advance. Anyone else have a question about that part???

@@bsfagan13 Honestly Brenda I don’t even remember what I did since it’s been awhile now. It is disheartening when designers do not respond to reasonable questions. Good Luck.

@@bsfagan13 I love her patterns too. Granted I see typos in my question but I felt it was a valid one. I’ve had other designers actually answer my questions or just thank me for a comment which is very nice and very much appreciated. I do understand that not all questions are valid ones. I also understand they must get countless questions but I’ve seen many that were answered in the actual tutorial not necessarily here but I see it frequently. I do believe and wish they could try to answer valid questions. I’m very sorry I can’t help you Brenda as it so long ago that I made this and I would not venture to guess and be wrong.

Good morning! At the 16:48 mark where you say hdc2tog, what you actually demonstrated was a hdcsctog because you didn’t yo (at what would have been step 4 of the hdc2tog) before inserting the hook into the next stitch. A hdc2tog ends with pulling through 5 loops on the hook, not 4 loops as you demonstrated. Still watching…
@cynthiawilson8294
@cynthiawilson8294 Жыл бұрын
Your hhdc2tog also omits what would have been the second yo of the stitch; resulting in a hhdcsctog. My question is: Do you think it appreciably affects the continuity of the row height?

How many inches is your initial chain of 26? I can't get a chain greater than 6 inches. I've tried several different yarns and hook sizes.
@RichTexturesCrochet
@RichTexturesCrochet Жыл бұрын
Yes, the foundation chain for the brim should be about 6 inches (in order to give you space to fold it up). If you would like a longer foldable brim you may add more stitches. I recommend 13 if you do not wish to fold it up.
