the vault door isnt rolling, it turns, slow spinning. The real door isn't supported by the mechanism while closed. But I still really like the idea!

The writing on the door at 39:07 is using an actual alphabet called the standard galactic alphabet and the writing doesn't exactly spell a word as the middle character isn't a part of the alphabet. The standard galactic alphabet is also used in the Minecraft enchantment table.

The middle character is in fact part of the alphabet, however there was only so much I could do with polygons at the time. This is the character: ℸ ̣ With the full word spelt as: ᒷリℸ ̣ ᒷ∷ No disrespect intended :)
