I used to be a guy that went by brands I trust and would blindly go for the next new thing but after seeing all the funny business some companies had with some sets.. its best to look into whats inside. Glad that we have you for that.

Kato has oomph. Not a ton but sufficient enough imo. Drums sound really nice on them

i am interested to know how does the difference between using Copper cable or Silver cable affect the sound produced technically..

There no difference

@@viktor1845 Actually i have been trying quite a few cables recently. i found that anything with Silver Plated wire will resulted in Treble being more emphasized noticebly. Whether Pure Copper non Silver Plated will either change nothing or will slightly increase at Bass or even Mids. Probably placebo effect though, but i can see why Hi-Fri suggested to go for Pure Copper non Silver Plated.

Sounds like they'll be great for metal. Those 300Hz through 150Hz frequencies muddy metal a lot. A set that is conservative there are always best for metal given that guitars with distortion along with the bass guitar typical frequencies creates a sound density in that area that is very sensitive. If you get that wrong it sounds very unnatural. People who like electronic music with vocals, in particular Female vocals, won't like this set as much because that music instrumental wise doesn't occupy those frequencies that much, but the vocals do. So tonality wise, guitar heavy music will sound great, electronic music will sound a little hollow. You gotta remember with metal, vocals are boosted to carry over the guitars. That's why sets that have slightly boosted highs sound terrible with metal. I'm talking anything Etymotic, Shure, or something like the 7Hz Timeless, or anything very neutral with very little in the way of bass... Neutral is horrible for metal. A mild V tuning with ample sub bass is what you want with a roll off at around 12kHz and no peaks above 4kHz you want kind of smooth around there except for a mild 8kHz boost or maybe a small 6 and 9khz to avoid the sibilance of 8kHz. With metal you want that scoop at 300 Hz.

Very nice work, thanks for making the effort! It would be awesome if you had standard shells for different driver sizes (3D printed in resin seems the obvious choice) so you could easily hook up different drivers of the same size and check their FR, just as a mean to confirm they are indeed the same driver. Maybe you have done it already, I don't know.

If you use EQ for a bass boost, or enjoy a lean stock tuning, they are worth a blind buy. Capabilities are worth twice the asking price.

Maybe for tuning reasons? Spring tips would let through a lot of treble from a Chu like driver methinks.
