Woooooo hoooooooooo!!!!!! Ohhh yeah baby!!!! Ok, I’ve watched this video three times now. The bikes looks bloody amazing Del, you and Penny should be extremely proud of yourselves. It looks even better out on the road than it does under the lights in the garage and , oh my, that exhaust note!!!!!!! I think that challenges my RSV4, we’ll have to introduce the two bikes together. Passing the MOT was never a doubt too. Enjoy the bike Del and I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with the paint job, although I am a massive fan of the black stealth look now!!!! Take care y’all!!!!!

However you could just book it in somewhere not that local, get lost on the way, handily have some tools in your bag... Actually, there must be some scope for the guy that has a test booked in, breaks down on the way and has to go home for repairs and reschedule. Sure the rozzers would buy that..

Hey Del, I haven't be on the page in a few months, but I followed this build for most of it's life. I love seeing it finally complete, seeing all the little details like the holes in the belly pan and the almost endless discussions and revisions the bike went though to get the build to what it is, an absolute wonder of work. Proud to see it done (and with it's MOT!) Well done sir, so very well done. Of course, well done to the whole team for comments and input, sponsorship and, of course, Penny's endless support!

Not being funny Bud....but it sounds like a bag of spanners, please tell me it has a dry clutch.

Bad audio, GoPro cameras have a rubish mic and it was sealed in a box too.. am always confused why it sounds like that on camera but nothing like that in real life, it never makes that dry rustling sound when I'm stood next to it, however the clutch is slipping a little as you may have noticed, so that will be an upgrade in the future...

@@Moonfleet41 Was it this or the rat bike that you put the castrol magnatec in? Funnily, just off the phone with a Castrol technician who said - and I quote: *"I'd never put magnatec in a motorcycle"* - because I bought four litres as it was on offer, only to look online and read multiple posts on multiple websites saying never to use it on a bike - From what I understand, these clever oils that reduce friction in a car engine car wreak absolute havoc with the friction plates of a wet clutch! Oh well, I guess that's a couple year's supply of chain oil instead! D'oh! Live and learn... Cheers Del

Your work is very different and important because you teach people how to do things without the arrogance of those who know and believe themselves better than others. What I like the most is that you have done what you most enjoy doing. You are a great example for many including myself that having the skills of you I have not taken the decision to follow my dreams. Great job Del! Attention to detail on this bike is second to none! Would love to see your take on a brat style bike for the next project. Its been done so many times before but people always cut corners, would be great to see one done properly.
@Moonfleet416 жыл бұрын
Hi buddy, thanks for that faith, brat style is an interesting genre, probably the youngest on the set at the moment... and it's hard to know it's origins, it's pretty much a hipster fashion, more than anything else, more art than design, and I think it's really all about the bike you base it on... and I'm a bit of a purist, such as a caff racer (not cafe!), should be a classic British bike, triumph engine, Norton frame, alloy tank... a bobber should be a vintage Harley, rough and ready and well patina'd... but that's the problem with being a purist it retricts you in your design! But thinking caps are on, we'll come up with something worthy... thanks for your faith

Great result Del. Got goosebumps when you started doing the passes with the baffle out. Reminds me of my old Zed 1000 with the Harris pipe with the competition baffle. Ride safe.
@Moonfleet416 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, Harris pipes? What a glorious invention!/// I think they were called Works Collection weren't they? A little short silencer about 6" long and the legendary Harris badge on... happy days mate!

That thing sounds wicked awesome without the baffle in, Del! Kudos on finally getting that thing on the road. I don’t know when I’m gonna get my shop built so I can get back to work on mine, but hopefully sometime next summer.

Cheers buddy, great to hear from you, good luck with the shop, keep plugging, you'll get there mate!

I really love it to see when someone construct and build parts for their bike by themselfs. It’s such a nice feeling to see the results and it is so much nicer then just to buy after market parts. Built! ...not bought. ✌️😁

Thanks buddy, you're right, it's a great bike to ride and it was a great day to finally get it on the road and ride it... we've got our thinking caps on and searching for the next project at the mo... we will re-visit the Kawasaki, a few up-grades and stuff, but the things I've learned along the way with this build have been invaluable for the next one!
