Moonraker - Gondola Chase (Reconstruction + Individual Instrument Tracks) - Music by John Barry

A virtual instruments reconstruction of the Gondola Chase music from Moonraker.
This track took about four or five times the amount of time that other Bond tracks have taken. Part of this was because of RAM limitations (this track has a lot of instruments, with a lot of different articulations, which required me to split the project into multiple files). Also, there were certain corrections I had to make to my original transcription, and which only became apparent to me when I was in the process of creating the final track. Finally, plenty of time went into getting the rhythm of the Bond riff just right, as well as the voicing and performance of the gunshot chords at the end of the track.
Apart from the reconstruction, this release includes the individual instrument tracks, so that you can hear what each instrument or instrument section is playing by itself.

It's amazing as Bond fans we're able to watch the movies and pick out the themes that weren't included on the OST. With John Barry it tends to be a slight tweak to a theme he uses in other forms throughout the soundtrack. I'd like to hear the short piece accompanying Bonds attempt to force the plane down toward the end of Octopussy. It's basically the isolated strings that appear in the "Attack on the Monsoon Palace" theme.

Great work. How about the pitifully neglected MWTGG unreleased tracks - it is the 50th anniversary this year and we are STILL stuck with the original 1974 pressing. So many beautiful cues and melodies in that score but no extended cut. 😢😢😢
