I've been to Eagle Point Buttress a few times, but only once via the Douglas Trail. It's hard on an old guy's knees. That hike along the top ridge to the Osborne Bend trail is a bit of an adventure itself. Kudos on finding the Copperhead. I keep looking for them, but have yet to see one. I might be in the minority, but snakes just fascinate me.

@admay316 the hike from Osborne Bend is a bit more of a hike too, I like hiking along the river, especially with Cane so he can cool off on these hot summer hikes

That cave really doesn't go too far...ends up to a big sink hole. Lots of layers and a little water fall ....it's been awhile

I'm planning my first backpacking trip with my son, what would be a good trail for a two day trip in red river gorge?
