You have to understand that Omega comes under the Swatch Group umbrella, so in actuality the Swatch brand is higher tier and more luxurious than Omega. so I don't get why the O commands such a multiple in price over Swatch.

You're right that the swatch group is huge and has a big impact on the industry, however, when comparing omega to swatch (the watch brand, not the group) I see omega as the luxury brand while swatch is more on the entry-level. There is a clear difference in quality. If luxury watches are worth buying is a discussion for another day hahaha
