Are Step One boxers worth your hard earned cash?

I work in mining in western Australia where the temperatures are regularly above 45 degrees Celsius, I find these are the only boxer shorts that prevent chafing as I am regularly dripping with sweat and covered from head to toe in dirt walking kilometres a day and climbing hundreds of stairs wearing long coarse ppe pants. I highly recommend them if you are doing any kind of activity that there is a risk of irritation. They are sized a bit smaller than usual so I recommend getting a size larger when ordering too! The only downfall is the price and the style I have used has no fly. I'm ordering some with the fly this time so I'll see how they go

I got mine a few months back & love them, most comfortable I have ever had. I’ve been told that extra bit at the back is good for hiding my arse crack when crouching down, which is a big relief 😂. Yeah, I never understand the absence of a fly, and why it is becoming more common.

You should generally always line dry your undies as the dryer destroys the elastic

Just ordered mine. I’ve gone a size up, as after a wash I always find some shrinking, especially at the rear. Right above the bum crack and waist. Hopefully these won’t have the same problem?

This is the second time Step One offered us free underwear if we purchased from the company. The first time on Boxer Day they offered 4 free pairs if we bought four. We bought four and did not get the extra pairs. And last week I decided to buy another pair (I went ahead and bought two) because you had the buy one get one free. The mail came and I only got the two pairs I paid for. Honesty is more important than there product. If people can't trust a company to fulfill it's promises, then I don't see them being in business long.

Step One’s quality has been declining as of recent they don’t seem to last, plus that rough seam in the pouch area needs to be smooth. I think the price is also ridiculous for a pair of undies made in China.

I have bought about 8 pair now and 4 out of 8 got holes in them in wearing them about 3 times so 50/50 shot. I think they are a waste of money ,don't buy I regret buying them ,complete junk

Hi Daniel, I had a few people people comment on the quality and issues like yours. I think I've been lucky to pick up on pair and they've been fine. These companies definitely need to work on their quality assurance especially as these are definitely classed as premium underwear

Huge obnoxious branding = immediate no. Instant deal breaker. I don't know why so many clothing manufacturers insist on doing this. It's especially prevalent on boxers - they almost all put giant branding on the waistband. Very difficult to find unbranded clothes. I'm not going to pay money to be some company's walking advertisment. They should be paying me!

@drdennis totally agree . These are so comfortable but find that silky smooth lining makes me sweat get hot way more than other boxer briefs I wear. May be better in winter
