Moped gas tanks have a flaw that surface after a while of use. In this video we will show you guys a few ways to prevent gas tank leaks and/or stop them without the use of a welder.

I tried this and it worked for a week. So I cleaned off all the JB Water Weld and sanded the paint to metal around the studs and did it again. The gas seeped through the water weld in about a week again. The water weld would turn a bit blue like my gas. Anyway I bought a new tank from Amazon for $18.00

Nothing beats braising the screws at the tank

Not bad welds just realy thin gage steal its only 18 about the same as coffee. Can a old bike intertube raped around the top bar that te tank is strapped to will stop vibrations and give shock resistance and keep air pockets out of the file line

Greetings! I'm considering purchasing an engine kit and I want to know, since I will probably replace some of it's parts, is the gas tank replaceable? I mean is the outlet of the gas tank universal, meaning I can choose any size and shape I want or I need to search for a gas tank made especially for those engine kits? Great videos btw, they helped me learning some stuff a lot!

You can seal the inside of the NEW tank with KREEME. BEST SOLUTION: If you have an OLD tank I think it's less expensive to buy a new tank. It costs almost $40.00 to PREP and SEAL the inside of the tank and a new tank at this moment is only $15.00 OR you take your tank to a radiator shop who also does gas tanks. They will clean the inside of the tank and put in an industrial liner to solve the rusting problem. KREEME has one problem: The tank must be perfectly clean for it to stick and I have over time seen it come loose and float in the tank. If you are planning on using it, get as much gas out as you can and let the rest dry up. Leave the petcock out when using it or it will plug up.

Yea, I bought some JB Water weld like the guy said in this video and it only held for a week. Then I sanded it all and redid it and it lasted another week. I bought a new tank! $18.00 from Amazon. Shit, I am gonna buy another to have as a spare at that price.
