While I see the goodness I dont think it will kill it off because C4D has such an extensive user set and current use case scenario and MoGraph integrates and extends its capabilities easily for most graphic designers. I only have Houdini and MOPS and there are some things I may not be able to do in houdini that are easier in C4D.

Instancing several objects with randomization inside of Houdini has always beena huge road block for me. It seems like doing it with Vanilla Houdini there is no way around dealing with VEX and Quaternions.... It really drives me crazy when you'd think its such a common simple feature (and Blender Geo Nodes does it so intuitively). So I installed MOPS and discovered the MOPs Instance + MOPs Randomize , and intuitively figured out how they work in less than 5 minutes. THANK YOU. SO MUCH THANK YOU. Now I feel like I can actually go and use Houdini for the common tasks I want to use it for without needing to go get a computer science degree!!!

I got MOPS and MOPS+ but I am having a hard time aligning the instances onto a shape I have predefined. The instancer creates randomly distributed copies not physically aligned, I would like to align the copies along the shape and I want to be able to control the dispersion.

this is why with any recording i do, i use 2 mics. 1 on laptop and my main on the desktop. so if SOMETHING ever happens, i have the backup.

Anyone got a clue where they put "Trail" in the sweep??? It's gone and they haven't updated their tutorial videos.

I am also looking for the Trail "Mode" in the Move along Spline modifier... Have you found anything? :-)

It's extremely complicated to install into Houdini. For some of us who are not developers, the installation instructions are nothing more than foreign language. Please help!!! But overall, I really like the end goal.

Did you follow the video instructions? The main problem I had with was adding the code to the environment file.

WHAt? you literally just have to copy 2 lines of text and past it into a .env file, that its just a text file. if you cant do that i dont think you can handle houdini.
