I'm so thankful that you made these videos. I just transitioned from stuffed animals and scarves to crocheting garments and I have learned so much from your instructions! I'm using Lion brand Coboo yarn and it works really well for this at a low enough price that I wasn't intimidated by the whole project

That's awesome! I'm so glad to hear the video is helpful - and I would love to see what you're making if you want to share in our Facebook Group (search for Magic Fantastic Crochet Atelier) - I had someone asking about Coboo yarn for this project just the other day :) Thank you for the great feedback :)

Thank you for this pattern! Today i finished my first (yes, i want to make a second ;-) ) Duster and it looks great :-) The english terms are a little bit difficult to understand (i`m german), but the videos helped a lot. I used a 3,5 Hook and thin yarn, cause i need size XS (or XXS, i don`t know the US-Sizes) and did some extra rounds. I`ll send you a picture the next days (or weeks, when the weather gets better).

I want to thank you so much for this pattern with sleeves and your video tutorials!❤❤ This is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted a duster with flowing sleeves. I have known how to do the stitches but I have never made anything (I take that back, I have made a snowflake and a flower--oooo😀). I guess I will do something small first. Lol. Also, we are in lockdown because of Covid and I don't have the yarn for this yet. I will watch and learn. Thank you, thank you thank you!

Hello, happy Thanksgiving! I hope you see this... I am making the sleeveless, hooded version and I am terribly confused. Right at the beginning it says to chain 35, until it reaches from the nape of the neck to the back of the head. Is that supposed to be the top of the head? Cause everything north of the nape of my neck is the back of my head! 2nd, about the chaining at both ends. the pattern goes til row 4, which includes a chain 4, then says to continue in the same fashion. Does that mean I should continue to chain, increasing according to the row? Am I supposed to be double crocheting in the chain space from previous row? Because currently I have growing spaces at either end of my hood,, between the chains. my current result at 9 rows is shaped exactly like an extra large, reusable menstrual pad. I'm using gauge 2 Catania Color cotton and included extra stitches on the assumption you might have meant top of head instead of back. Do you have a hood video? I know I'm doing something wrong, I'm a novice!

Hi there, thanks for contacting me! So, the hood instructions are extremely bare bones and I have no other resources for it other than the written add in. Yes, the back of the head is the TOP back part lol 😆 the hood is worked back and forth in rows, repeating the increase strategy established in the pattern for each row. Again, sorry for the confusing nature of the instructions, the hood was an add-on that was only created in response to a ton of demand - I didn't develop it very thoroughly so it's not the best for beginners. If you still have questions please email me directly at moralefiber (at) yahoo dot com so I can help further! :)

Trying to make the hooded version as a Christmas gift and I’m a little confused by the written pattern (not your fault, the written ones always leave me perplexed). Do you have any plans to post a video tutorial of the hood construction?
@MoraleFiber
@MoraleFiber 3 жыл бұрын
At the moment no, but it's definitely a great idea! I know the written instructions are a little rough as that was never a truly fully developed part of the design, I mostly did it because I got sooooooo many requests to work out some sort of hood. If you want to tell me more about where you are getting stuck, I will try to help thru messages a d hopefully someday get a video going :)

Has anyone made it in one solid color? How many skeins do you think it would take it just one color? I had a client ask for a price.
