Trey is arguably the greatest death metal guitarist ever
@joshpelton8068 Жыл бұрын
He has declined a bit in his soloing in recent years but the Trey of the 90s and 2000s was the best death metal guitarist. He took the chaotic style of lead playing to a new level and his riff style Is also quite unique.

That drummers name is Tim Yeung . He’s from Rochester ny originally and was in a bunch of local bands when he lived there . He also played on Hate Eternals first album !

When I saw them in 1996 the drummer had a 4 foot upside down cross as a cymbal. I was 13 at an all ages show in shiller Park Illinois. At the gates followed them. Met the singer and he pet me like I was 3 yrs old LOL

The drummer Pete Sandoval was really ahead of it's time. Doin' those sick double bass and blast beats way before it was a norm in metal. Though it seems they have Tim Yeung on drums there.... And the iconic voice of David Vincent. One of my fave tracks

TIM YEUNG IS FUCKING AMAZING LIVE!! SUPER FAST!!🤟🤟🤟🔥🔥😈😈😈
@VincentNajger12 жыл бұрын
Dunnonwhat you were listening to back then, but this came out around 95....double kick was a absolute staple of metal by that time.....at least the mid 80s it was being used by most everyone and was a must for any real metal band. Just listen to any of the Big 4 from any of their 80's albums. Also blast beats were already a thing by the late 80s....Napalm Death and freinds were already using them prodigiously.

I just had to come back and comment on how amazingly fresh and vital so much of this 90s era death metal still sounds. I mean the album this is from, "Domination", is it least 25 years old at this point... And it kicks the shit out of so much modern extreme metal that it's not even funny. These guys were so groundbreaking and there is a true metal education in the music of this wave of DM.. Entombed,Obituary, Carcass, Bolt Thrower, Gorguts, Malevolent Creation, Sadus, Sepultura, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse Etc... Just amazing stuff it was so exciting to be there when all these releases were coming out one after the other after the other... each fresh and doing things that hadn't really been heard before.Lastly, morbid Angel's David Vincent is the ultimate metal front man for extreme music. End of story. He has a such a dark charisma, not to mention his enunciation and vocal delivery are still amazing after all these years. His new band; Vultimus is absolutely crushing as well.

For a good and funny death metal video try Obituary - Violence and the Ten thousand ways to die in this sequence - the cartoons are great :) For a crushing Death/Grind try old Carcass - anything from Necroticism Descanting the Insalubrious is pure perfection.
