@@jaydenv8557 Agreed. Not to mention, friends during childhood - together for a few years - apart for most their life - in most cases, milo becomes "Just A boy that inspired me to create a cure". Nothing too deep. Not to mention the lack of bond built with the female lead, followed by the "I'm not gonna try too hard to help you bestie, but let me kill you and be desperate for my lover-not-lover lady even though I supposedly created this whole cure for you" situation. Not a fan. Definitely a fallback on actual emotional impact and character developments aside the definitely fancy visuals.

The point of the detectives assuming it's a vampire is so funny to me. Bro of course they would think that, they live in the marvel universe. They probably got attacked by zombie aliens that popped out of a portal in the sky, vampires seem pretty mundane next to that. They probably got to the crime scene and went "meh, it's either vampires or the chupacabra"

While I would agree with that, the continuity of the Sony movies in relations to the MCU is unclear. While it’s implied that the universe in which Venom and Morbius take place is part of the broader MCU multiverse, but we are not sure how common the presence of superbeings is. It definitely doesn’t take place in the same continuity of any of the previous Spider-Man movies, and it’s safe to say that this universe doesn’t have any one in the mantle of Spider-Man. But most importantly, I’m overthinking this. Sony doesn’t care about that, Marvel doesn’t care, not even nerds care in this case. Might as well have a crossover with the fucking Halley Berry “Catwoman” at this point, no one would question.

Is there any reason stated in the movie why Morbius can't just go work in a blood bank? He's super successful and rich, surely he can pay people money to donate blood for him. Actually, why does it have to be human blood? Why can't he just go to the zoo and eat a lion? Why can't he just go to his local butcher and ask for a big bottle of the red stuff? Also: No wonder he freaks out every four hours, he keeps sucking up all the blood in one sitting instead of sipping it gradually during the time. It's like when you drink too much water at once; you don't get hydrated, you just make yourself sick or have to pee a lot. He's a doctor, he should know how hydration works!!!

19:00 in and I have thoughts: So if they show Morb going to New York and being treated better and being seen as a smart person and having everyone look past his disability as if it wasn’t there and treat him as a smart, capable person ALONGSIDE showing Lucious or whatever (“Milo”) being constantly bullied and beaten and abused and mocked for that same disability and no one being able to give him any personality traits beyond “disabled” - because to everyone around him, that’s all he is - THEN it would make sense and be a good foundation for them to end up later in the movie as adults to have Morb be all like “no, it’s not worth it to become a monster just to walk, it’s not worth it” and Lu/Milo to be like “NO it IS worth it to not be disabled anymore!! I’d rather be powerful than a worthless victim” or whatever and be the villain bc of it. Like… make the focus be on Nature vs Nurture of these two people who just could have turned out completely differently if things were different. Just bothers me when better ideas are right there and they bypass them to be like “haha bat go brrrr”

They might steal their ideas tho(you send them manuscripts, they decline but then you suddenly spot your ideas in the movies and shows, slightly changed so you couldn't sue them for stealing ur work). The line “Do you need a doctor?” Just because Jared Leto is playing a disabled person mimics real life. I’m disabled so I use both a cane and a walker and people will come up to me everywhere I go and ask “What happened to you?” or “Do you need me to get someone for you?” Please don’t do this to disabled people. We have all had to learn to ask for help when we need it so no need to ask and do you really think we want to re-live the accident or whatever happened to make us disabled over and over again just so we can tell a stranger about a forever life altering event. It’s just no one’s business but our own, side note: I have no problem telling friends and family what happened or answering any questions. I know that before I became this way I never went up to people and asked them what happened to them, I was raised better then that. Also please hold a door open if you see a handicapped person coming, it actually does help us and I’m always extremely appreciative. Sorry about this rant, that question in the movie seems to have pissed me off more then I realized. If you actually read this whole thing. Thank you for listening and I hope you have a great day!

54:53 My guess is, his body is super light suddenly and maybe the effect around him is meant to symbolize is wings..or something. Idk, But yeah maybe it's a weight thing to make it so he can fly but he doesn't know how yet so you get a confusing scene like this. That's why the wind up there doesn't bother a normal weight person. Also if I remember correctly the guy can fly when not full bat mode but doesn't have wings ( memories from the 90s cartoon) ...so unless he has telekinesis he has to be able to change his weight to change his gravity to fly.

Pedantically I will say: Yes, implied gay subtext as daddy is a term of endearment usually used by gay men in and out of relationships. Also, it can be biological since vampires tradtionally drain their victim to near death and then the victim drinks the vampire's blood. The victim is now the childe and the vampire is their sire, the person who created the victim into a vampire. A male vampire can be called daddy by their child.

Like they had no chemistry. Also the first vampire story was a lesbian love story so it would’ve made more sense if this movie was about gay vampire love
