1:07 I've never heard Mordecai say this in game before, but hearing this now made me cry. Literally. Playing the first Borderlands I chose Mordecai because I wanted to know who and at the time what Bloodwing was, and after finding out, I realized that the hunter was the coolest class on the bench. When Bloodwing died I was just as distraught, upset, angry, what ever you'd like to call it, I was on the same level of the emotional scale as Mordecai. Never once have I heard him say this and hearing him say it has lifted a weight off of my chest for being unable to save her.

I'm currently playing Borderlands 2 with my boyfriend. He played the game several times, so he knew what would happen to Bloodwing. And he was a bit worried about my reaction. The day came we reached the Observation Wing and Bloodwing appeared. Finally Mordecai tranquilized Blood and I walked over to her to get the chip from her collar. I shortly hesitated, looking at Bloodwing's eyes, thinking "everything will be alright, we got ya". But then it happened. I went quiet (I rarely do), stared onto my monitor. Tears ran down my face. Mordecai's crys in my ears. I couldn't calm down for about 10 minutes. Before that, Handsome Jack was the funny antagonist. He did bad things, but they didn't hit me directly. This was the moment I finally started hating him! Now I'm hearing this voice, saying "Don't feel bad about Bloodwing. You did everything you could." and I almost cry again. As someone who plays many choice-based games, I think if I just were a little bit better, a bit quicker, I could have saved her. I know this is stupid. The game leaves no possibility to save her, but this idea still stucks in my head. I'm glad that today is the day. This evening we will go to Jack and make him pay! But my heart will be forever broken.

Back in 2010 I found this weird looking game called borderlands at gamestop. I went home and picked Mordecai because he looked like a sniper class and I enjoy using snipers in shooter games. Borderlands turned out to be one of my favorite games of al time and I poured hundreds of hours into Mordecai. It’s really great seeing him again in BL2 and BL3

Mordecai is awesome. He and Bloodwing was best friends, until Handsome Jack killed Bloodwing, and that's when Mordecai got really angry and destroyed a whole lot of Hyperion robots. That's one of my favorite parts in the game.

I like Mordecai because he and bloodwing are best friends forever until handsome Jack took Mordecai's bird, transformed bloodwing into four different elements until she returned to normal when Mordecai used a Tranq to calm down bloodwing. After some time later, handsome Jack killed bloodwing, it was really bad to see Mordecai's bird died in the game, and then Mordecai got really angry as he kept his promise of wanting to kill handsome Jack.
