Small kote has always been very hard for me to get right. I have this poor habit of swinging the shinai out and striking from the side. The motion is much more clear to me thanks to this video. Thank you so much, Imafuji-sensei

You're very welcome! Glad to hear that! The way I introduced in this video should prevent that! I don't know where you are but stay safe and healthy and when you can do kendo, try this!😃👍

Thank you, I keep hitting Kote with right hand. Any suggestions on how to make it better?

Thanks for your question and you're welcome, @Not-so-cool-name! 😄 Check if you are grabbing the shinai with the thumb and index finger tightly. These fingers should be loose. Do you have the V shape?

seems interesting. I am quite a tall kendoka but despite always striking men i like to mix in some kote or debana kote. Good tip for a more precise kote. Thank you very much sensei.

Thanks for your comment and you're welcome, Jean Rebmann! The way you strike kote in this video will help you confuse your opponent too! 😄 Not sure where you are but when you train at your dojo!
