Thiccfila has joined the fight in signal boosting smaller Borderlands KZbin Creators stories about how they were bullied and suppressed by Ki11erSix, EpicNNG, Quag and the rest of the Stream Team!!!
Borderlands 2 is a 2012 first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K. Taking place five years following the events of Borderlands (2009), the game is again set on the planet of Pandora. The story follows a new group of Vault Hunters who must ally with the Crimson Raiders, a resistance group made up of civilian survivors and guerrilla fighters, to defeat the tyrannical Handsome Jack before he can unlock the power of a new Vault. The game features the ability to explore the in-game world and complete main missions and optional side quests, either in offline splitscreen, single-player or online cooperative gameplay. Like its predecessor, the game features a procedurally generated loot system which is capable of generating numerous combinations of weapons and other gear.
With the unexpected success of the first game, Gearbox was able to secure a budget of $30-35 million to develop the sequel. Like its predecessor, the game adopted the "concept art style", which features graphics inspired by both photorealistic imagery and comic-book-inspired visuals. The team attempted to address players' feedback from the first game, and recruited Anthony Burch who wrote the game's script which is seven times longer than that of the original game. Among the game's diverse cast of characters, Handsome Jack, the central antagonist, was created to be a charismatic "douche" that mirrors Burch's own personality. Borderlands 2 was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2012, and it was ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as part of The Handsome Collection in March 2015.
The game received universal acclaim upon release. Critics generally praised the game's visuals, writing, gameplay, and online multiplayer, as well as its variety of guns, while criticising its mission design and content fillers. The handheld and the virtual reality versions of the game were regarded to be inferior to the console and PC versions. More than 20 million units were shipped upon release and the game became 2K's most successful release. It was nominated for multiple year-end accolades by several gaming publications. Gearbox supported the game with four add-on campaigns, new characters and five content packs. The game was followed by Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in October 2014, and Borderlands 3 in September 2019. According to leaks in August 2023 Gearbox Software has officially begun development of Borderlands 4 on the Unreal Engine 4.

I dont recall exactly what happened in the 30 mins with Thic. But I stuttered and mumbled a lot, and lots of that same speech carried over into this call. I was nervous and on the verge of tears and I'm not afraid to admit that. Some of the WORST times of being a content creator are being brought back up in real time, except others are finally coming to bat with me. People who watched my glitches, I still talk to a good handful of them to this day. People would watch at work on their phones getting loot. Some didnt have the game yet and it stored on SHIFT for 1 year. Not only were players enjoying Borderlands outside of playing, but people who have not bought the game yet were still loading their stash to play with cool weapons on their launch. I'm no average Borderlands fan, I have nearly 30k hours in the franchise since starting in 2009. Did I glitch and exploit a chest and arms race extraction? Yes. But I also did not quit on the game. I didnt make a mod or enter game files to make the game how I wanted. I tried to take a games bad state of play, make it a bit brighter, and hoped Gearbox fixed it in the future. I have even said live on those streams, I wished that they were fixed, but fair game until they are.

Dude, I remember using the Gib save editor to fix some of my Borderlands 2 console saves. I used to run the General Knox glitch where you could get into the armory, and it was all good as long as you didn't go into the middle room. I ran it with a friend once, and they messed it up. So I took the save off my console and booted it up in a PC save editor. It's one of the reasons why I couldn't get into OP levels. In my humble opinion, the OP levels were made for save editors, because there was no way in hell, I was going back through the game on each level to farm for certain gear pieces for a build. Anyways, MAK you will always have the necessary clout because you are one of the OG dudes! You lifted people up in the BL community because that was the courtesy that you had extended to you. I just don't understand the mantra of today's content creators. It's like they can only be the ones that hit it big. Whatever happened to the saying "A high tide raises all ships". Imagine if Gearbox rocked with the community, and they made a product that sold like muthafuckin hot cakes. More people would play, more people would stream, and Gearbox would get all the free publicity that they need to further promote the game without having to pay creators. When we get there, we'll have you to thank for it! Keep telling it like it is!

Imagine if during the BL2 life cycle, a few large creators started toxically cutting out other creators and making people on the fence pick sides over say, moonshot farming. Or if BL1 dropped later when content creation was more varied and a similar thing played out with the armory glitch. If someone had the audacity to come into a stream to claim I was ruining the game by farming the armory, I'd laugh and clown on them too. But apparently Epic sees that as an offense worthy of wishing real-life harm via "karma" on that person. Some people take video games way WAY too seriously to be that emotionally invested in how other ppl use their own copy of the game.

Wow Mak, i just watched all of epicnng video and all I saw was contradiction after contradiction. It was hilarious. Also, that he pretty much wanted to get on his knees and take papa gearboxes meat with a smile on his face. 😂 I personally played BL3 for over 500hrs and I'll say this about it. Mechanically, it was a lot of fun. Mayhem before 11 was awful and yeah, I paid for that shit to be gone because that shit wasn't Borderlands. Arms Race was a lot fun but it should of been in the game from the start. Lastly dedicated drops should of been there from the beginning. I personally think, if they fuck up BL4. I don't think gearbox will ever recover and that will be a sad day for my favourite franchise ever. Hell, I even managed to score an orginal loot chest with everything for BL2, this year in mint condition for cheap. Thats how much I love them all.

The truth keeps coming out. I long for the MAK/Goth/Bahroo days of BL2 when the community felt tight and was genuinely fun. Hey just to be clear, I was a console player in H4X' channel, and he didn't give builds so there was no modification of a console, he'd get someone on PC to send him the loot from the uploaded build through the mail system, and then join their game and drop the loot. This meant the console players were still at a disadvantage compared to pc players since they still had to level up and play through the story.

Mak in my opinion bl1 is a classic bl2 has the best story and villain and bl3 has the best mechanics. I think some of the guns are better, but then again for me it’s a tie between the guns and build to anvil through all the games have the good and bad for me. They’ve already overused handsome jack, the fact that we had new villains was exciting, but they did disappoint me, but they were still good to me in their own lame way I guess

If a glitch doesn’t absolutely bust a game completely, like the bee/conference call combo, then idk why you’d want to take it out of the game/patch it. They never removed the armory glitch in the Knoxx dlc in the original game. Let people have their fun in the game a bit unless it’s something that becomes THE meta, completely trivializing the entire game. Who gives a shit about getting stuff from chests? That’s exactly what the armory glitch was haha. You were getting access to more gear than you should.

Around 30:00 A tweaked system to do save transfers makes it a lot easier, however gearbox's shift system allows you to mail items from pc to console, albeit taking longer to do. But yes you heard that right, gb is cracking down on people like haxs using shift in the way it was designed for because they're using it too efficiently. It's so dumb.

29:10 Due to the atrocious loading times on ps4 those 1,000 hours to farm builds were multiplied at least 2 times. No way was I going to sit and look at the loading screen for 1-3 minutes repeatedly just to have 30 seconds of playtime to kill the enemy I was farming, not get the drop or get the drop with bad rolls and save quit to repeat the process again.

On your last little bit there mak about them just taking ideas and tossing them in the bin. The worst part about that is all they need to do is take a little bit of time to just fix current games, 1 or maybe 2 updates and it will make the game great again. It blows my mind that people still don’t know that the vault card is the battlepass, like are you living under a rock? Battle passes are in atleast a good 50% of new games it’s almost impossible to miss them. It may not have looked like the other ones they’ve likely seen but the premise is the same. Pay money for content, play time equates to skins, cosmetics, gear, and in game currency. That’s every battlepass ever

Also, battle passes are always one month long and a single entity on their own where as vault cards come with DLC (actual content: new weapons, missions, maps etc.) and you only have to purchase it once.

Yea i also preordered borderlands 3 the super deluxe edition physical edition with the steel book but i liked but i didnt love the story was shit i liked the new loot system where it drops at ur level and in coop everyone gets there own loot cuz me n friend we play ever borderlands game together but i do agree it kinda broken seeing purple n legendaries way to frequently the part that really pissed me off is the maya death she was my favorite character of bl2 that wasnt a dlc n the way she dies im like wtf i dont hate bl3 i just dnt love it

Borderlands 3 is too straightforward. Takes away the meaning of actually putting in effort to make your builds and farming whatever legendary it is that you need (It's simply too easy). I was hyped for borderlands 3 and still played and enjoyed it, but it still didn't compare to borderlands 2. They changed too much that wasn't needed and it didn't feel borderlandsy enough to be held in the same spotlight as borderlands 2. So why people split apart to two different sides is beyond me. It almost feels as if borderlands 3 was made for the fact that a new borderlands game hadn't been released in so many years, but I digress. Game too easy, legendaries are carried by annoints (the fact that you can reroll annoints ruins the point of farming as a whole tbh). 6/10 gaem. Rip Digistruct Peak. And I'm 100% open to any criticism.

I love BL3. I've played the shit out of all the games since the first came out and I hated all the replays. I don't want to replay the main 3 times just to max out for each character. By the time I got to Gaige, I'd had enough. I'm an adult and work for a living with other shit to do so I like the extra content to max out. I do wish the story and voice acting were better. I haven't gotten around to Wonderlands for the same reason that you haven't left BL2, I'm just still in the grove of playing this one game, plus I'm still enjoying making builds. I do think of going back to the original

It pains me when there are so many builds you can make with the same legendaries and skills in the tree that actually synergize. But I don't doubt the amount of fun I had on Bl3 with my bestfriend. I watched K6 before and for the most part hes ok because I never really go into the drama. If this turns out how its currently going with all the shilling and stuff I dont mind not going to see their stuff. I still remember when you made that video on why you were stopping BL3 videos. I technically didnt pick up BL3 till all the dlcs were out and its a good price point then. Definitely not when it was out.
