When building a Drag and Drive chassis, there are some design considerations that add some weight, but I feel are necessary to not break off the trailer hitch! Plus in this episode, I show some greater detail of tube notching!

Great video Kevin, also great to see your priorities are with your kids over work/hobbies. The kids are only kids once, and believe me, they are grown before you know it. My daughter just turned 34 last week and it seems only yesterday that I cried, because she caught the bus for kindergarten and my baby girl was growing up. Enjoy every minute of their childhood, because it will be gone in a blink of an eye. The Cutlass chassis is really coming together now!

Happy Fathers Day! First thing I noticed when I walked into the shop (well besides the Cutlass) was the AC system. It was pretty warm outside, but very tolerable inside. I remember that from my shop, but we had 3 AC units for 3 different rooms. Show Room, store and my shop. The shop we were lucky to keep it down to 90 degrees on a real hot day, the others stayed nice and frosty at 65-70 degrees! As a dad and PawPaw, I'm gonna tell you this much... keep them young ladies at the very top of priority list! There were many times with my kids growing up, where I regret saying "Dad has to work". Work will still be there after the dance recital, football game, or just a family meal, but those moments won't be there after work. Don't miss them! We can wait for the videos, so we should be the lowest priority!

Thank you for the detailed instructions and the explanation of why you do things the way you do. My OCD needs to know why it should be done that way and I need to see it done.... Your grinding the edges of the pipe for example, never would've considered that even looking at it to fit it. I'm glad and sad my project is taking as long as everyone else's, but I'm only looking to do all this work once so this wealth of knowledge is priceless. I really wish more people had your perspective on things, "this is exactly how I do this project" instead of keeping secrets and gatekeeping to make money. MOST people don't have the equipment or skill so why not? You still have to be able to execute the project and for that, thank you for showing us.

Love watching and learning from your videos from a young fabricator in development. 24 and working out of home shop doing mostly cages and rear suspension work. We actually use a Reese 2 inch receiver for our drag and drive trailer hitches and then build a parachute mount that goes right into the trailer hitch. Works great

Kevin, why don't you use a Wi-Fi thermostat for your HVAC in your shop? That way you can turn the AC on with your phone a couple hours before you get to the shop. And if you leave the shop and forget to turn off the AC you can just do it by your phone and not drive back.
