I'm sure you've got it figured out by now, but the alternator not charging is probably because the original wiring backfeeds voltage through the charge light in the factory dash to turn on the alternator. I forget which color wire it is, but I put a Racepak dash in an 03 Cobra a few years ago and had to actually wire up a light bulb socket which hung behind the Racepak just to feed 12V back to the alternator to make it charge..

If the air bag monitor module can not turn on the bulb, then the module will put out 5 beeps, then another 5 beeps etc. It's not a code, it is a warning that the system may not be functional.

I really need more gauges and I'm not a fan of Fords ignition systems, that's why I've been looking in this direction. I'm also looking at a Gear Vendor to drop my RPM a little at highways speeds. Do they work well with the Holley systems? I've had many issues with headers for my Ford engines over the years. I think Headman has been the better choice, so far. $1200 on different brands that just didn't work out is a little steep! NOPE didn't get a penny of my money back... just donated them to my exhaust guy, maybe he was able to at least use some of the bends to help someone else out! I'd installed an extra engine coolant sensor in my car in the hose going right into the radiator, the stock one is in the back of my motor. The distance between the two is like 18 to 24 inches. Until 180 degrees the two sensors match, maybe a degree off, but then the one closer to my radiator starts to get hotter then the one at the back of my motor. So on my engine, subaru has a coolant tube that brings the coolant from the back of the motor to the radiator hose. By the time the back sensor gets to 203 degrees, mine gets to 212.
