Beautiful print to kickstart the new year! I watched the first part twice as it opens many possibilities for some figurative elements

I was not a fan of the towel idea, but the resulting texture changed my mind. A cross between dry brush strokes and etching scratches. Good textural construct with the brayer texture. Loved these colors too.

Fun fact, wiping down the plate with cloth is a time honored practice, as in doing etching with copper plates

With the first pull I thought it looked like an abstract view in a pond with koi fish swimming around and after the second pull, it looked the same with ice forming on top of the water. Very nice and Happy New Year.

Gorgeous one. That first pull full of marks suggesting figures. Using the brush does make a different quality. And yes a great positive New Year of creating for you and all the subscribers here. ❤

Hi Art, you mentioned Richeson paper, but what type? Is it newsprint, watercolor, printmaking or drawing paper? I am assuming printmaking but just wondering if I am correct.
