I agree. If flying cars were to become a real thing they would need to be fully automated and most importantly they would need to communicate with every other flying car. Not being able to manually control the flying car except for something like an emergency parachute is the only way it could be possible. Fully self driving cars also will have the ability to communicate to almost every other car on the road at some point in the future too. Its the safest way. I want a Rosie but id settle for a Roomba but that doesnt constantly clog and one that has a big waste compartment.

Flying cars are a terrible idea. People can’t driving a normal car right; the energy required to fly is much higher than what’s required to roll on tires; as Neil deGrasse Tyson points out, we already travel in the third dimension when we drive over an overpass; and the thrust required to keep a car up would be hazardous to everything under it which is why helicopters and rockets have dedicated landing spaces. Now where are self driving cars so all the terrible drivers aren’t a problem?

Yeah my dad pointed out when I was young that jet packs will never be a realistic mass thing because we simply don't have a wide enough field of vision. We'd be crashing into each other at sidelong angles all the time, it already happens with certain intersections in some areas that have super disproportionate accident rates due to particular angles keeping people from seeing each other even though there's nothing in the way. There's a reason insects have eyes that are way big/expose a lot more surface area of a sphere as a light-receiving surface. New channel name suggestion: Mr. Whistler’s Fine Vintage Memes. Also would work as a quaint corner store. Or on a bottle of some sketchy century-old elixir.
