As a P2W pogo player all i can say is im about to go cold turkey. I work too hard for my money to be all burned on this game. They have become so wildy aggrgious. People like me are going to get fed up and their revenue is going to tank. Seriously sad they keep doing this. The amount of add on tickets anymore is obnoxious.

I havent bought a ticket since wild area until I bought the research day ticket for Saturday. these things used to be given for free and now there nickle and diming us… hiding new pokemon and shinies in eggs while the whole north of the planet is brick cold

I mentioned egregious tickets on a pogo video, and some guy was calling me soft pogo player, that all we do is bitch, you aren’t forced to buy tickets, it’s a F2P game. Some people are just delusional to what Niantic has been doing. 3+ years ago, events were complete with bonuses and encounters, now it’s sliced up in premium content.

I understand your point, but honestly, I couldn't care less about costume pokemon. I see them as skins in other games, like lol. You get some skins for free, but gotta pay for the most special ones or some that you like. Bringing new pokemon only in raids and eggs is a problem, tho (looking at you toxel and sinistrea), and that's where I agree with you.

I've not spent any money on PoGo since they nerfed remote raid passes and I'm happier for it. The FOMO is gone for me so I'm happy sitting things out when there's a P2W event or even taking breaks for weeks at a time. I used to play almost ever day, do every event and pay into the game at least a few times a year but the egregious nature of how much they're trying to squeeze the player base pushed away a lot of players like me. There used to be dozens of players out in my town on community days; now I'm lucky to see 1 or 2 when I do a community day.

Influencers seem to forget we have a 3 month season of double daily raid passes. Definitely fine to have lesser pokemon in raids currently, you can roll for a high IV 1-3 difficulty and a legendary every day

Speaking as a F2P player (former paid player): They're giving us 2 free raid passes a day, and some of the costumed Pokémon in eggs seem like ones from the past. So, ideally some folks would already have these. As far as raids go, we would be able to do 10 raids easily for free. Yes, you don't get to shiny check much, but shinies are actually quite rare in other Pokémon games. Given how the world is these days with the shrinkflation and everything, I will gratefully take my free costumed Pokémon and move on with my life to other better things. And at the end of the day, they're still losing hundreds of $$$ from my end every year now since they changed from just a simple premium raid pass system. :)

Polteageist is one of my favourite pokemon- I collected every card in Japanese and English as well as hunting for the shiny authentic form in the main series game. I only got to do three raids, all of them two star. I thought I would be more sad about not getting to add one to GO or even finish the research related to it… but Niantic is making it so easy to just not care about this game much anymore. I won’t be buying the Unova ticket, or anything else from the game. The big “good” events do not excuse a year’s worth of bugs, greed and corporate tomfoolery.

I've relinquished the expectation of always getting the newest shiny. I'm not boycotting or anything, but I'm also no longer going to pay for the chance to get a different colored Pokemon (unless it's really useful). I just have to be okay with not getting them (not disappointed; resetting my baseline expectation). Who knows, hopefully that'll make it feel more special when I do get a shiny.

Every single ticket is now $7 CAD. Almost 10 dollars for basically nothing. When I first started playing, in early spring of this year, tickets would regularly be $2-5. A lot of cheap $2 tickets though. They're driving this game into the ground and doing it shockingly fast. it's nowhere near the same game I began playing in March.

Only thing worth getting is the shiny Sandygast in my opinion. Why not put Dedenne in the wild? Only raids? That’s so ridiculous.

Only thing I'm going to grind for is shiny sandygast everything else I could care less for. Don't care for costume pokemon I don't care really for the wild spawns. Besides sandygast the paid tickets just shows that Niantic is hurting rn for money which makes no damn sense when you know damn well people spent alot of money that day ?

I'm not as bothered because i dont treat costume Pokemon as the real deal, just like skins or alt appearance, but it doee continually paint PoGO in a bad light with how awful they are at just...giving us more free stuff. Lol So many events where you gotta pay...

The fact is no one have to pay it’s a free game. You pay for the things you want.. cannot complain about it as a business needs to make money. No different to paying for a Netflix subscription or Xbox game pass. Its life.. instead of complaining about it earn more money or just don’t buy the extra content simples

This is just my opinion. I think that this event is fine because dedenne is in raids. Meaning we can use the daily free raid pass to get it. The shinies are not the entire point of the event just an extra bonus. If the featured Pokémon was in eggs though I would understand frustration because that would be gambling since it’s not guaranteed.

Why play the game if you are always only complaining about it? Seems more like punishment than fun. I’ve got two free raid passes a day right now, and maybe I’ll use one or two of my eggs-petition one use incubators during the event if I feel like it, but I usually save those for egg hatch days. If I don’t end up with a costume shiny, it won’t be any different than the other events with costume wild spawns that I don’t manage to find shiny. You’re looking at the game the wrong way if you think you’re gonna get everything in it. Pick the parts that make you happy and stick to them.

Don't get me wrong, Just like any other company whether small or big has to make money in order to keep their buisiness afloat and retain their employees but at the end of the day that excuse only gets you so far, and Niantic is well past the point where that excuse could even justify even a small sliver of a percentage of their actions. you may be blind/ or numb to it but Niantic has objectively been getting more egregious & predatory with their money making tactics over the years from things like removing & nerfing content, abusing the T.O.S to their advantage, their "A-B shop testing", intentionally designing horrible features for the sake of raking in cash, the egregious casino-esque egg hatching system, and the list continues.

We are getting two free raid passes every day this season, there are four pokemon "locked" behind raids. I mean... you have more than enough time to get what you want. Game designers deserve to get paid.

@@danielpalm9438 Shiny pokemon are just a cosmetic. It's like buying a skin in Fortnite. You don't need the skin to play the game, it has no tie to player power and won't help you in PVP, Raids, or Max Battles. If you want a cosmetic, then its reasonable to pay for it. But it isn't a Pay to Win game.
