You give a better detailed explanation to the wrists and the grip in the golf swing, better than ALL the other golf professionals on KZbin. All the other guys go into the science and the anatomy of how the wrists and grip work. You do a stellar job explaining EXACTLY what we need to do to hit the golf ball properly. Thank you for simplifying the relationship between the grip, the wrists, and the club face better than everyone else. My golf game thanks you :)

Coincidentally I just discovered yesterday on the range experimenting with the wrist during back and down swing how much they control the face and how you feel more connected to the face...the torso and arm just get you there and the wrist/ hands dial it all in... all exactly as you showed...great stuff!!

Hi Christina excellent video and yes no excessive cupping or bowing of the left wrist, generally a flat left wrist is best at the top of anyone’s swing as your video shows. Checking out our range of motion in our wrist is a good idea. And the correct gripping of the club as you show is essentially for any golfer; but aside from that the golfer must be careful not to hinge too much or under or over flex their wrist. They should simply trust that the weight of the club head in motion will do the correct range of motion of both wrists for them. For example very few seniors golfers especially myself can do a full tray service at the top of their swing as you demonstrated and yet they play pretty dawn good golf as long as they lean to trust that the moving club head will control their wrists and never the other way around. Cheers

I have extremely flexible wrists from playing the drums and also from playing a lot of ice hockey at the semi-pro level in Europe. However when playing golf I am afraid I keep them too stiff and have a hard time in the release so I am losing lots of power I believe. It would be like trying to throw a football or baseball without a wrist release. I get away with it in golf as I can muscle the ball but it is not effective. Do you have any good drills for developing wrist cock at the back of the swing and release at the finish? Just to get the feel of it? Occasionally I do it and can't believe the distance I get but I lack the skill level to do it consistently. Signed by a golfer in need!! (P.S. how do you like those PXG irons?)

I have a wrist injury right handed golfer. Right wrist can’t bend it up into six iron. More like3 iron. Forearm up only thumbnail up to the sky wrest and arm badly injured

One more very helpful video !! My belief is that excessively bowing the left wrist at the top like DJ is a source of flaws for the average golfer. Keeping a flat left one will lead with centrifugal forces to have a slightly bowed left wrist at impact. Wrong? Correct? Stupid? I’d like to have your opinion pliz!…🙏
@MorePars3 жыл бұрын
A flat wrist at the top doesn't guarantee a bowed wrist at impact. The lead hand knuckles STILL need to roll down to get the bow at impact. That said, you can hit a great ball without a ton of bow at impact but it will require more forearm rotation. Make sense?
