Will never understand how you car mechanics can pull apart these most complicated of jigsaws and then put them back together again with no pieces left over. Lovely manicured hedges you have on the yard road. Glad to see your gamble worked out.

On mine to check the oil I need to have it parked on level ground. Engine off for a minimum of 10 minutes to cool and drain to the bottom, the with the drivers door open, press engine start button with no foot on the brake so it don't start. Then go into the check oil menu and the level will display. You want the level just above the middle (so below FULL mark). Great series as always 👍👍

I never doubted your ability to get this Range Rover running again. Chris is very tenacious and does not give up on a problem, I know from experience that sorting out modern vehicle electrical systems is very stressful, it’s so easy to make a mistake and blow up a module.

I had exactly the same with my Autobiography. I read and read so many sites and eventually learned the same. Although I had the correct disarm code, as it was shared when I bought it, I wanted to add bluetooth to my phone to disarm. In my case, it needed 'cruise control cancel' to get me in as opposed to high beam flash. it eventually worked. Nice one chaps! Looks like JLR products are a little bit of an anomoly!

The first time I heard an SVR setting off I thought , that car is worth every penny just for the sound alone, it must be so addictive if you own one.
@tyronemessiah4479Ай бұрын
Lovely job. If you've started the vehicle then checking oil level can only be done after you have switched off the engine and waited 10-15 mins. Else you need to open the bonnet and driver door, you can then check oil level in ‘service mode’

I would venture to suggest that some LR Dealers would struggle to sort a job like this out! You guys know all the intricacies of the trim parts and the architecture of the vehicle and how it all fits together. Techs in the dealerships only have limited knowledge for servicing. Well done lad fantastic content 👍🇬🇧😎
@markmiwurdz2248Ай бұрын
@georgedaville4662. The so - called “techs” at the LR dealers are mainly “fitters”. If they can’t cure a fault by analysis i.e. work out the problem, they fit (usually expensive) parts. Stay safe and well.

I had this issue with a BMW I bought off Copart. It had a Ghost II immo but because the car sat dead for months the Ghost had erased it's keys and was a nightmare to get running. If I didn't have that invoice I genuinely would have given up, hats off to you lads!
