Agreed, but most of these concept designs are awful, and do not have the imagination and originality of the vintage MOTU line. Even the straight repaints like Stinkor and Moss Man were more appealing than grey Beast Man (Red Shadow), and Skeletor 2.0 (Great Black Wizard).

The order in which characters get Released hasn't concerned me in Origins. I definitely see how it could run indefinitely, even if not As-Is(just look at Barbie. All depends on the approach). And the most fun I've had with it has been popping together "non-custom customs" to get existing characters to look like I want as well as MOTU looking toys that are not MOTU characters. ...At the same time, I do think the line would benefit from finishing up with the 80s toyline cast if production is taken long term. Yes, there probably will be a drop off for those who have been collecting mainly to replace their vintage figures. But they are probably less likely to buy the other Releases anyway, & are probably more frustrated by the Wave pace than those that are checking out the additions. More importantly, it potentially frees up things on the design side. Origins without constraints like trying to be 'retro yet updated with minimal redesign but know when to redesign ' and being committed to a colour pallet that was likely decided before the collector vs child ratio was clear(& probably overestimated the appeal of the importance of that style to kids) would be the surest path to stronger new creations, line interpretations, & new versions of old favorites.

I'd love to get The ninja, Crystall ball, some of the Snake men, Bandwidth & definitely Ra-Jar. He looks so cool! The weapons he could carry on those six hands. Wow! The Snake men lair or stronghold looks so great. Definitely it would be a most by, but like you said, it should have snakes popping out of the crevices and more secret passages and trap ways to make it more menacing n mysterious. A lot of these concepts would've been great for Motu.

I've been cool for a bit with them stretching out the last of the vintage characters that need to be re-done and mixing in Rulers of the Sun and new characters and more POP (need more POP) to give the line a long life. Part of the dip of Classics was they finished off the core vintage line and people started checking out for the new characters and deep dive from other media.

personally, i am sticking to retail as exclusives aren’t easily accessed in Australia. Personally i feel that deep cut characters should be reserved for MC exclusives. Grizzlor should have been main line.

Great Black Wizzard looks like a homage to the final boss of the tabletop game Hero Quest. I would be very surprised if he wasn't inspired by it.

I've been waiting forever for two create-a-character figures to be made: Ra jar and Double Header. If we get those eventually I would consider that a huge win. I'd prefer them in Origins but I'll take Masterverse.

I am a newer MOTU fan so I’m not sure if the Snake Lair already has a heroic side counter fortress or something, but if not, do you think Mattel would design a play set for Sun-Man and his allies (at a similar smaller size/scale)? I apologize if the original line already had something.

There were plans for a heroic playset in the vintage line, which would have been about the same size as the Snake lair. It looked a bit like a tree house, and was designed to clamp onto the edge of a table.

Hope to see the snakes expand, too. At least all Alex Gi. Designs. Yap, white, red, blue glow in the dark eyes or body parts would be cool. Would like to see a XL Snakemen like Megator or Tytus. Ra-Jar is a cool Figur, like you said, to bring out other figures with the design - a webstor 200x or other Beasts. Maybe from the castle grayskull Dungeon, there s a spider, too ... I like playsets, they give you a possiblity to pose a lot of figures with the right surroundings. If it looks great and big with cool Features i would spend 200 - 300 $, too.

Well, even if I would have all the classical Origins Figures, I would still continue to follow all that stuff, Frog Monger for example catches my interest, but I don´t completist for completist sake. I just don´t have a connection to a lot of the new additions, but interesting and fitting additions, why not. I still want to see Catra, Kittrina, Shadow Weaver, Adora (doesn´t Origins like the Ladies...?), Horde Prime, Horde Wraith and the Evil Hover Bots. Oh, and that Lion Dude whose name I always forget, whose Classics figure I have. But to have the original crew complete is a legitimate concern. I doubt that Mantisaur or Bashasaurus will come any time soon. Also sad for Spydor and Monstroid. It is the last time for many of us, to get a complete modern quality vintage set. But I´m really happy about the shown Snake Mountain improvements and that it comes out at all. If they also improve the Fright Zone, then I can die a happy Collector.

I'd personally like to see Tug O' War get made as far as off the wall characters. Another thing I think would be cool to see is more alts for the other heroes and not just 8 versions of He-Man. Like maybe a few more battle armor figs, maybe a new figure for characters like Fisto and Zodac.... something LOL. I never understood why we had a 'Thunder Punch He-Man' and not a Thunder Punch Fisto.

That's because He-Man is the main character. Refreshing the main heroes and villains is commonplace for most toylines, very rarely do the secondary characters get variants. In GI Joe and Transformers they would just replace the older characters with new ones that filled the same role. The Thunder Punch was also a nod to the Filmation cartoon where He-Man was always punching stuff and making it explode (happened in the intro sequence every episode!).

Most of these "new" characters are awful. Uninspired, boring repaints, with no thought put into making them fit into the world of MOTU. When the Four Horseman were tasked with creating a new figure for Classics, they considered long and hard and asked themselves "what would really add something essential to MOTU that we didn't have before?" The Evil Warriors did not have a flying character, and there were no dragons in the vintage line. Thus, the awesome firey villain Draego-Man was born. Compare this to Red Shadow, who is a grey repaint of Beast Man. No unique gimmick whatsover, dull colours, and a name that makes no sense. He also looks very similar to an existing figure, Stratos, if you remove his jetpack and wings.

Pretty sure Mattel said there are "no plans" for it. 40th Anniversary Masterverse Skeletor was exclusive to that 2 pack. ...Of course it could easily be released slightly altered since it's already tooled. Could be a distinction without a difference though. Being that it did not come out along side the 40th Anniversary He-Man general release and it's already deep in October - it's doubtful it would be released before year's end. But you could still end up with a similar figure if they decided to do a non exclusive version; it would just be a Year 41 item.
