Greg not even trying to hide his favoritism during the judging is what makes him the ultimate Taskmaster

I think it’s half the fun. You know he gets a lot of enjoyment out of how they all handle the tasks.

27:56 The funniest part of this is this was during COVID times and there was no audience, it was just them in a room, and they were all going slightly crazy lol

It's always amazing to witness moments like this, and remember that Greg used to be a teacher. Because despite being out of the profession for years, he still carries that teacher persona about it himself and he's able to bring it out at a moments notice. It's fantastic to see. Five giggling pupils with their form master, after being caught, with the swotty goody-two-shoes who dobbed them in. 😁 They know they shoud be feeling bad about being in trouble, but really they're just pleased with themselves.

Someone give the editors an award for all those little whooshing sounds as speeded-up planes flew overhead during Johnny's segments starting at about 16:49.

I like the idea that the Taskmaster is just tremendously protective of his beautiful Red Green. He will never forgive infractions against it.

I just realized Munya got done kinda dirty. For the other contestants alex said "You must step on all of the stepping stones" but Munya just got a "All the information is on the task"
@radlee9746 күн бұрын
I’d say that’s because Munya actually noticed the extra stepping stones while the others never even saw them.

I often think that about team tasks - a strong 5-3 split is essentially the same as a poor 2-0 split

John Kearns may not have been the best at the tasks, in fact he definitely wasn't. But he certainly made for some good telly 😂

omg the paint taskkkk! all that for no points but somehow John ended up looking the silliest and by the wind no less 🤣
@vincentlevarrick65578 күн бұрын
It's the delightfully awkward yet earnest way he approached it imo! 😂 The marooning himself from the off, the wobbly hesitant preparation to leap, the getting caught on the rope. Was never really a fan of John Kearns, but this was certainly one of the task that endeared him to me. When it comes down to it, I really loved series 13 and 14. They were favourite groups for me by far.
@iliketrains34958 күн бұрын
That’s John in a nutshell. He’s actually the third highest-scoring loser (I believe only Lolly and Alice are ahead), but even in numerous tasks where he doesn’t do the worst he comes out looking the silliest.

Does anyone know if an explanation was given for why Fern didn't have goggles and a shower cap to start like everyone else? I can only assume she was told to put all the stuff on before stepping outside and she was too tired to notice them.
@zzehyboy7538 күн бұрын
People with autism often struggle with things attached to them or wrapped around their faces. That would be my assumption with the goggles, but given she put the shower cap on later, you could be right about that one
@takeru31598 күн бұрын
@@zzehyboy753i suppose that could be the case. I would assume if she asked about going without them they would say 'there is a chance if getting paint on you during the task.' Though not knowing the exact nature of the task she might have thought she could do without them.
@megaing13228 күн бұрын
Probably the first contestant to do the task, they then changed the rules. Unlucky for the first person ofcourse :-/
@lhfirex8 күн бұрын
I bet she was actually the first one to record it, and they decided after hers to give goggles and a shower cap to everyone else. Since all the solo tasks are recorded on separate days that could work out.
@vincentlevarrick65578 күн бұрын
I also agree that Fern was likely the first to film her tasks. It's not the first time one contestant has ended up without an item or equipment that later contestents in their series had. The usual explanation is that they were the first to do so. You'll even see this in other iterations of Taskmaster globally.

He clarified that it was plain jelly that would get 0.

Everyone getting the same points is effectively the same as everyone getting none in terms of who wins the episode or series, so in a sense he still did.

I would have given 1 point to all the jellies and then Mike 2 and Sarah 3 (since Greg clearly thought they were all bad, jelly or not).
