@@shreeshsaurya4203 no idea, im not trading up till 2025 for the gv70 electric or the gv80 coupe if they do an electric version. It would be fair to say that all electric cars purchased before 2024 will probably depreciate a bit more than normal as there are so many more choices now, especially from china. But new adopters like me knew that going in. No regrets i love my car
@Antiguan_Dart2 ай бұрын
The GV70 at 4715mm in length which is 200 mm longer than the GV60 (4515mm) and only available in all wheel drive it has a larger boot 503L over the GV60’s 432L. But as it is not a bespoke platform that extra length doesn’t translate to any appreciable extra rear cabin space. A huge bonnet which would house the upto 3.5L twin turbo V6 of the ICE version is wasted in the electric incarnation. I think a future new platform GV70 would fair better cabin space wise. If I needed a larger car I would be waiting for that. The GV60 is fairly compact so may not suit large families into camping - simply not enough boot space for 4 and all their camping luggage.

Hello Nicola , great review I also have a GV 60 in Canada I have the Advance twin motors here in Canada they only come in one trim the high end Napa Leather . Now we get a lot of rain here on Vancouver Island and I do not have any problem with the back window the trick is to turn the heat on and it stays clear, also no problem with the face camera opening the door but you first have to push the button on the door handle. I have had my car 18 months aprox 20K miles or 35K klm the car has not missed a beat in the summer I am get 300+ mile or 500 klm for range I lose about 20% to 25% in the winter . I had an Ioniq 5 on order but it never came I got fed up waiting for it I called Genesis got the GV 60 with in two days , all I can say is I am very happy the Ioniq 5 did not come this GV 60 is so fat ahead of it , yes its more money but for me its worth it. I am very happy with car we are very lucky in BC Canada with free charging I have not paid for any in 14 months .

The Genesis GV60 has a fault which means that, depending upon the angle the car is parked when it rains, water gets into the cabin air filter. This prevents air getting into the cabin and means the windscreen can’t demist. For us this made for a dangerous journey at night time in the rain on a motorway. We rejected our first car because of this. Two intermediate loan cars had the problem and our new car (later model year) also has the problem. We were the first owners to identify this and now others are seeing the problem. Genesis UK have acknowledged the problem and say the factory is working on a fix. They have not given a date for the fix and not said if they will proactively retrofit it to all existing cars. This demonstrates the problem. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZeQYYqLe6t3qrs

Going to add here and yes you do know who I am from the same forums. Yes some people suffer from this and you were unlucky but most of us how found we do not suffer from the same problem. At least Genesis UK were able to replicate it and hopefully Genesis Korea will get it sorted so yours will be fixed and others will stop getting the same issue.

I’m currently 3 years into EV ownership, and a lot of things on the GV60 appear better than what I currently have, but others? Well…. 320 mile range in Summer is good, but 220 in Winter???? I’m struggling to see how that could be acceptable… and 3.8 miles per KwH is the best it can do???? Talking of party tricks - is there a Dog Mode? If not, why not - I’m struggling to see how this continues to be ignored across the whole industry….

Honest question, Nicola: Could you keep this car for 20 or more years and be content that you had a keeper, forever? I'm going to guess yes, except there are gadgets that might fail like the massage seats and that crystal ball. EVs like this are excessive and expensive, but if people could be lifetime buyers then they would be sustainable from the fueling (on strictly renewable energy) and the production standpoint. If we buy new ones every 3 years, they will be unsustainable as the constant stream of replacement vehicles will make it NOT cost effective to keep the gadget riddled cars on the road as they age and have expensive fixes. I know that one's intended to be a review car.

Also, maxing out at about 3.8 miles per kWh and going down to just over 3 on motorway driving seems somewhat inefficient. I expected better figures; perhaps your partner has some validity in his concerns about your driving?😊 (In its first 5000 miles of ownership since August, my sub £40k EV is averaging over 4 miles per kWh on a mix of M'way and A road driving - cold weather loss has been less than 20%).
