What a wonderful message. I have a great neighbor. He’s retired and does carpenter work so I split his firewood and sometimes mow his field and he does work for me like building a sun deck in return. He’s the only neighbor I have so we take good care of each other. Fun show as always.

CB radios are a wonderful tool. They are a necessity on all the timber properties with active operations. For the drivers, the foresters, the operators and any inspectors. I use one daily. As grandpa Schatz says, "bad roads make good neighbors" P.s. Maple Creek is HEAVEN on earth!

If you have elk or moose around trail cameras you will want to securely tuck in the strap ends that hold it to the tree. Deer might do it too but big undulates like to chew straps, their ends blowing in the breeze is a temptation they can't pass up. Other than that, keep up the videos, they are good entertainment.

Logging in California has problems with sight distance.. So most clear brush to gain sight distance.. One method that helps truck drivers is to use big signs marking the mile.. A trucker can say on a CB radio they are at a given mile marker.. Thus truckers. keep track, use pull outs and transportation increases..

Never had good luck with neighbors myself, despite me being the best neighbor you could ever hope to have. Can't afford to pull it off at the moment, but my goal is to eventually move out of town away from having close neighbors right next door. I've had enough B.S. I've had to deal with for years now at all the different places I've lived.

When I moved here 15 years ago, my neighbor hated me because I "was from away." I wasn't a native. He works late, so during the winter, I cleared his driveway with my snow blower before he got home. I never said a word. He didn't either, for the first two years. Finally, he saw me working out in my shop one Sunday. He walked in and said, "You're a persistent f**ker, I'll give you that. Want a beer? We have been best friends ever since.

I had a neighbor who was miserable, we have a deeded right of way to access our property that I maintained year round, old Ed never said a kind word but I just accepted his surly demeanor was his problem not mine. We eventually bought the property and now we are keeping the property up better than he did and the other neighbors appreciate it.

The log haulers around here use CB radios to avoid surprizing each other when they round a corner. Many others who spend much time on logging roads install radios in their pickups to be safe.
