A Browning sure is a sweet shotgun. Wish I had the one I let get away from me some years ago. If I get another, I won't the same mistake again.

Randy. Which gun would you pick between and beretta a400 or the benelli m2. In 20 gauge ? I prefer piston over inertia. But the benelli feels better to me But I haven’t shot either one.... thanks

The M2 in 20 gauge-- it ids what I did pick and did buy for myself.

You ever taken apart the bolt in this gun? Does it have a firing pin spring? Was cleaning mine and didn’t see one.

I’d love to buy one but I live in CA and we have to shoot steel. Finding any 16 ga is hard enough but #6 steel (for upland) I’ve never even seen in this state. I’m really surprised the industry hasn’t given this gauge a rebirth, we get a new rifle cartridge every other week but we’ve had the same 4 shotgun gauges for decades….

*Well, you don't "have" to shoot steel at all, as there are several bismuth and tungsten loads. It isn't the industry, it is the consumer, for there is nothing a 16 gauge can do that a 20 gauge cannot do better. Browning dumped their 16 gauge BPS, Ithaca dumped the M37 16 gauge due to lack of sales.*

Is the browning sweet 16 made in japan or is it made in Belgium? I know the older ones are but is this one?

These are the newest Sweet 16s from Browning made in Portugal. They brought it back for a while after the introduction of the new A5s. They are extremely hard to find. I had at least 6 gun stores try to get me one and they haven’t find one in 2 years.They were introduced in 2016 and I know a few people also on the hunt for one. If you can find one or own one you’re really lucky.

Do you think a 28 gauge is a great choice for pheasant?

Randy, what are the best rifle slings for longs hunts. The best ive seen are the Vero Vellini, and the ultimate sling by Specialty Outdoor Products. You have any other suggestions?
@RandyWakeman7 жыл бұрын
I don't use slings for wild pheasant hunting, as the gun always needs to be ready when hunting. There is also a lot of brush, very tall grass, streams to cross, and so forth.

if you had to choose between a benelli sbe2 or 3 or the newish browning a5 which would you choose?
@RandyWakeman7 жыл бұрын
Fortunately, I don't have to! Both the A5 (in 12 gauge) and the SBE3 have issues. If I thought I needed a 3-1/2 inch gun, it would be the softest shooting one out there, the Remington Versa-Max. 2nd choice would be the Browning Maxus.
