Thank you, it's a nightmare to have the shim on the top, it gets so bent out of shape... I found it slipped a little if it was on the very bottom which is why I had a bit of card underneath it.😊

Played all morning in my craft room with double sided sticky sheets and gilding flakes. Wonderful way to spend a dull Sunday. Unfortunately I think my double sided sheet was too thick and I was unable to die cut using my ancient foam festive greenery die. I ended up trying a Spellbinders thin die which did work. This evening the plan is to make some cards with my efforts. Must try the alcohol colouring too, so nice when I manage not to succumb to product envy😆 Ex

I have only been paper crafting for about 5 years and I love dies, so my cards had dies on the front ( I did ground them) and a simple sentiment. You have taught me so much in the last 6 weeks ( Gummiapan calendar day 5) about stepping up my dies in SO many ways. So, thank you loads for the awesome inspiration and your wonderful videos. Hello Christine! I so enjoy your videos. I feel like I learn something new every time I watch you. With regard to the gilding flakes (which a absolutely love), I can find flakes but not the burnishing pad. I absolutely fell in love with the funny little gnomes you used a few videos ago......and then found that the company doesn't deliver to Australia. The tyranny of distance lives on!! Hopping back in, hope you don’t mind!! I don’t do INKS!! a bit too messy for me😀. I blend colour on my White Card using a Blending Tool, my Ink Pads in shades of Green, touch of Orange and Yellow. Such a gorgeous card! I'm curious - Did you just use linen paper for the die cuts you added the mica and alcohol ink to? I've never tried my AIs on regular paper. Thank you for what you do for us🙂

It’s just regular cardstock, which is why I added the mica/alcohol mixture first so that the alcohol inks wouldn’t just sink straight into the cardstock but diffuse a little! 😊😊😊

How did I miss that big leaf embossing folder? Another lovely card and process. I think I may have some "neutral" mica that I can use that alcohol ink trick with. It's a bit pricey using specialty paper for alcohol inks but they do give beautiful results.

Hi Christine I love your videos and your cards are absolutely gorgeous. I tried the alcohol ink with the mica powder But mine came out chalky almost like they needed a fixative. Do you use a fixative ? Thank you so much for your inspiration. You are so talented and I love your easy-going manner.

I haven't used a fixative, maybe you had too much mica, it only needs a touch to be added to the alcohol, then the inks dropped over it. Hope you have success! 🤔💚♥️🤍

I love gilding too... The idea of adding the alcohol with the mica first was so that the regular card which I used (not Yupo) would not be so absorbent and it would allow the inks to flow and mix a little.
