I make my own with plain chapstick, mixed with eyeshadow. Great for kiddos too as it won't irritate their skin. Thanks for sharing, loved the video❤

The dark one looks lovely! I use dry eyeshadow for rubbing over dark embossed card and fix with hairspray, which gives a subtle effect but I'll try your idea with the glue.

Oh I didn’t think about hairspray! I suppose it does the same thing the glue does in my mixture! Would love to see your results when you try!

I'm just watching you about to use Elmer's glue, and foreseeing that one drying into an unusable lump. They will show a lot more on black. I think the glue one may work if you include a drop or two of baby oil to keep the glue from hardening.

I like the idea of baby oil. I will give it a go. Need to make a new batch now anyway! I did find the glue one dried out more in the end

Oh yes! I bet you could make all sorts of colours!

you used three times as much glue/conditoner as you did with the glue alone. But what fun! I'm gonna try that ...thanks!

Oh I am well known in the family for lack of proportions - even when cooking I’m like yeah that looks good enough! I hope your experiment goes well!

So glad this was helpful! I do have a few other experiments coming up actually - I will be sure to film them and see what happens!

Thanks for testing these recipes… I think maybe you needed to use just a little less in your glue and conditioner mix. I think I’ll give them a go. Thanks.

I agree it is just a bit liquidy but still holding up ok and ha thickened over the last couple months!
@oldmedtech5 ай бұрын
Super!! I will try this. With the cost of crafting tools, this is a great, easy idea. I was thinking with storage, one drop of conditioner might be useful for rehydrating rather than water? Thanks for the experiment!!!

Give it a try! I don’t see why it wouldn’t work! Might make it softer too! Would love it if you shared your results!

Thank you so much for sharing! It is so helpful that you shared as you experimented! I have a question, once you applied it to your butterfly, and it had dried… Does the eyeshadow rub off easily on your hand or other paper when it has set? I would love to know what it’s like once it is dried. 🦋
@wildandfreeart8 ай бұрын
It actually stayed on pretty well! My guess is the eyeshadow bonded to the glue and it dried inside it so it didn’t rub off! I would guess that if it was handled a lot it might rub off over time like anything else :)

The first one seems to have more liquid in it.
@wildandfreeart2 ай бұрын
From using it it does thicken and dry out a bit over time, probably from evaporation.
