Would love a review on this game about Zen's positioning and stuff, I love Zen but I don't know where to stay in plat lobbies. Always have a tracer or some one diving for you especially. It was so awesome to watch. And no one crying "Zen switch we need more heals".

In qp you don't learn a lot, half of the time no one cares… In ranked you get yelled at cause you die, so you switch for a more safe pick, but still do not learn good positioning or so.

I hate snipers in this game so much and think they all just make the experience worse. They were already terrible to play against back in OW 1 when we had 2 tanks but are way too oppressive in this game. Nobody has fun when you see a good sniper on the enemy team and it forces you to go "well the area I can stand has now been reduced by 95%." Some games I just decide not to care because i'd rather try to have fun and risk dying than sit in a small area and be bored.

Personally I think playing against a good widow is some of the most fun in overwatch, but this is from support player pov. It feels almost claustrophobic, but it really is fun. When I do play DPS into Widow, I like to play characters that shouldn't be in their los anyways. I'll just stay in short sightlines and ignore her until our tank can push her out.

If Sniper from TF2 can pop the fuck off even in A.) A ≈15 year old game and B.) With a laser sight that's visible to all, then so can Widow. There's games out there that instead of a laser sight, they make the light reflect off of the scope of the rifle, so you know where the sniper is (and where they're looking sometimes). Yet these snipers in games are still strong and can potentially be a force to be reckoned with. My point is imho, adding a laser sight wouldn't make her complete and utter trash or unplayable. You, as a widow, just have to play smarter to get headshots and the enemy team at least gets some semblance of a chance. I hate how in a game I was playing, I kept constantly asking where the widow was because there's no way to tell unless someone risks their head to ping her. Sniper from TF2 feels less punishing because there's about 12 (i think, I don't remember off the top of my head) ppl per team and if you die, there's 11 other ppl to hold off for you while you respawn. In OW2, if you die, you only have 4 ppl to rely on and it can cause a domino effect of deaths very easily. Down a support? Not enough healing. Down a DPS? Not enough damage output depending on your other dps and if they're projectile or hitscan. Down your tank? Can't outlast fights b/c ur squishy and don't have enough health. Punishing characters actions, like a widow that is ADSing and is just standing still, makes people learn and get better at not getting killed for a bad habit.

@@mcpuggynuggies Yes if Widow was able to fatally quickscope like Sniper it would be terrible in a 5v5. A Sniper popping off has 12 people to contend with in large, multifarious maps. But Overwatch is emphatic on united strength, and Widow picking off one person can be enough to halt a whole fight, 5v4 with healers being essential and both teams converged on a singular theatre of combat. A good Widow on a Widow map is worse than a good Sniper, and a good Sniper is diabolical because he works on every map.

Reminder that picks do not equal elims as you are credited with an elim in overwatch if you do 1 damage that wasn't healed. They were still crazy with those spears though

Yeah elims should only be credited if you actually got the kill, and/or did the most damage. If I take a pot shot as mercy because some enemy has gotten to me and another team mate shows up and actually does the fighting, I don’t think I really deserved the elim I hit them once.

New to the game but I'd really've liked if widow didn't have the charge up time n had damage drop at range(also bullet drop too) . Imagine how sick plays we could do with the no scope 360,quick scope we could go with the other dive dps and make sick plays.

Her mechanics are very well designed to ensure consistency and avoid strictly luck-based kills, as well as creating a limitation on the speed a player can have a full damage shot, even at the highest skill levels. IMO if widow didn't have the charge time, the game would be much worse for it overall, and the character would feel much worse to play. I totally get where you're coming from, I felt the same way at one point, but Overwatch just isn't a game that can accommodate quick scoping 1 shots or no scope shots; very different gunplay philosophy as compared to CoD or other traditional shooters :)
