Every time I watched you on DT, I was thinking, "does this guy know how cool and amazing his job is...", now I see that you do. Thanks for the video! It is obvious how passionate you are about cars, and it wasn't the luck that got you there, it was your passion. Question: Do you miss writing and do you ever think about doing something diffeerent at DT, rather than presenting?

Don't forget chemistry.....Mike, you work well with your fellow presenters. That does not always happen. Whether this is as you said, 'luck' or the product of hard work or both it is in any event, essential for success.

I'm an old uk born carpenter now pensioner living in Norway I have been following Drive Tribe maybe a year enjoying the diversity, banter and auto info. Thanks for the hard graft you have put in,oh and some of the roads you have driven on, of course living beside a Nordic Fjord I'm blessed with some epic roads too. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Awesome video Mike. You've come a long way, remember watching your first videos and seeing you become a real presenter is great. Ever evolving, I can't wait to see where the channel goes from here. I remember being one of the first on the drive tribe social media, had a bad feeling about it from the start... right idea but five or so years too late.

thoroughly interesting video Mike! it's nice to have such candid and straight talking videos like this. well done on all you've achieved - you are so down to earth, I didn't actually know you were the one leading all of it! I find that while not every video on Drivetribe is for me, there's always something to keep coming back to, which says a lot for the diversity in content you offer IMO. you've made excellent choices with the presenter line up too, they're all naturals.

That answered a lot of questions about DT, only some of which I knew I had. What a tumultuous road it was that led to what DT is today. The channel is lucky to have you, Mike. Also Merry Christmas to you and all here.

Thank you for not only telling your life story, but also summarizing what has been happening with the channel. I noticed that May no longer presented on Drivetribe, but I didn't know that Hammond bought out the brand altogether. Another excellent point was that it's not easy to keep this up. Whenever someone says "people nowadays don't want to work any more" because companies can't find enough employees, I point out that many of these former employees make a living in social media these days. And it's not easy to do obtain and retain enough viewership. There's a reason we're always being asked to "like and subscribe".

Drivetribe feels like the natural spiritual successor to the Hammond May Clarkson led programming we grew up with and love. It’s been a joy to watch. That said, will Drivetribe become the new Grand Tour or Top Gear and develop a platform that goes to a network or streaming service ala BBC or Amazon Prime? Or is the era of the televised/streamed Episodic “Car Show” over?

I was into cars in a big way growing up but mainly from the rallying side of things. There are some on the roads I see now and have to actually look at the badge. I’m not sure if getting a new shape mg mixed up with a Kia would go down well with some people. Talking of which how is the mg project going Mike?

Hi my question is do you think drivetribe would ever do sort of apprenticeship style roles as someone like me who is knowledgeable in cars yet doesn’t have they sort of qualifications, can get given a chance to make it into the industry, from a fellow Scottish person
