3:00 This statement is technically wrong. Yes I know im really picky here, but I just wanna talk about the tyranids so let me have my fun please. There are several other types of Tyranid organisms that are even smaller than Rippers. More Lore has described them while describing other bioforms, without noticing them. I will describe a few: 1: Ammunition beetles, like the ones shot by the Fleshborer weapon symbiont. Yes you read that right: The Fleshboarer shoots little bugs the size of bullets that will eat through a targets body super fast until they die by overstuffing in a couple of seconds. Meaning if you get shot by a normal termagaunt, you gonna be in a whole rainbow if pain before death takes you. And the nids have many more different kinds of such living projectile things. 2: Spores: Tyranids arent only sending combat symbionts into battle. They also spread giant clouds of spores across a planet. Wherever the Tyranids go, their plant spores will follow them. These spores can either be directly dangerous to an individual, or develop into a plethora of different Tyranid flora with a myrriad of different purposes for one singular goal: To completely overpower an eco system and prepare it for consumption. Thats what you can see in Space Marine 2. The Tyranid flora blends into the background, but you can see it everywhere, overtaking the local ecosystem in the jungle.This spore stuff isnt *everywhere* everywhere, but the danger of accidentally stumbling into a cloud of spores and die from lung demage or other equally terrifying effects is extremely high. For that reason it is standart imperial procedure to equipt all non-Space Marine personel with air filtering masks when engaging on Tyranid infested planets. Its also a tiny detail the game misses for the purpose of showing more faces AND the planets we are fighting on still have very clean airspace, wich wouldnt be the actual case, as seen in Dawn of War 2. An understandable creative decision but a detail that tones down the actual dread of a tyranid invasion. The air should be dark, green, red and orange with big mists and clouds shrouding everything in a dark gloom of impending doom and restricting clear vision of the distance. 3: Digestion critters: There is a myrriad of different micro- and mini-organisms in the liquids the tyranids use. Some work to take down organic tissue so the acids can work better, other distribute toxins to subdue prey. There are several novels that describe imperial ships beeing destroyed by Tyranid acids with the crew encountering a whole rainbow of different ... things ... coming out of the liquid. All in all the Tyranids are an organic attack against a planet on every scale. From acidic molecules to single celled organisms to giganting Hive Ships, the Tyranids have it covered. (btw I know some HALO lore freaks who continuoulsy argue that the Flood from Halo would be able to beat the Tyranids, but they usually lack the intel about the nids that reveals that the Flood would loose that battle on the very microscopic level they think is its strength. So if you encounter such an individual, now you have the proper weapons to again defend the meme "Warhammer always wins")

I think sci fi has always had bio armies that are "insectoid" because they make good enemies. Like you can be brutal and ruthless to bugs and no one cares. @Hidacal2 ай бұрын
Not really. Both eldar are too lacking in numbers to do shit. Chaos emphatically really really dont want to, despite what their puppets tell themselves. Since everyone gone means chaos gone. Tau cant, dwarfs cant, internal imperial factions cant. Orks are always said "they'll just call their friend over and its all over", but in reality the largest known ork empire led by intelligent orks got rolled by a single star system with two planets that made a few extra ships and a miniscule amount of slightly bigger dudes. Necrons are the only one that are in theory a even bigger threat than the tyrranids. But they'll never be allowed to do anything or even be meaningfully superior (hell, even just equal) to the mighty SPESH MARNES, so they'll remain pathetic too.
@LordCreamBoi2 ай бұрын
@@Hidacal the whole point is that its all stagnated and WONT go anywhere, neither will the tyrannids. Eldar are on their way to a breakthrough to a way to free their souls from slaanesh and DID conquer the galaxy once so why couldnt they again? It would take MANY years but theyre an ageless race. Orks evolve with the threats they face so if the tyrannids become too powerful the orks will evolve back into Krorks, which are also easily galactic dominators. The emperors death could trigger his rebirth as a "chaos" god and therefore plunge humanity into a golden era where they might be able to retake the galaxy. Theyre ALL set up for potential galactic domination OR utter destruction, except MAYBE the Tau who still have their extremely fast developing technology and adaptability working in their favor. Dont forget that the league of Votaan are CURRENTLY using the same AI that nearly destroyed the galaxy in the age of strife and are a clone race that can produce more of themselves at will. If everything is OP, nothing is.

The craziest thing is, this is more a list of Imperial designations, for the ones they've come across. So adaptive are the Tyranids that they'll always be scope for some fresh, new hulking abomination to be spawned.

Tyranids design all their bio forms for specific purposes, so when new situations arise, they'll build an entire new species to combat this new situation.

Watching and hoping that we get to see most of these guys in Space Marine 2. Can you guys make a video soon about all the Chaos Daemons and all the xeno species that serve the Tau Empire aka Greater Good?

The Imperium didnt know that genestealers were Tyranids because its one of the oldest retconns, they were not. Genestealers predate the addition of the Tyranids at large as denizens of hulks. Their cults came later to integrate them into the 'Nids. (They feel far less like a straight ripoff of the xenomorph when embedded into a full species)
