1:38:37 There are world edit tools in base minecraft that let you place large amounts of blocks at once, but they’re only a single type of block. With how much detail’s been put into the walls, pretty sure that vanilla minecraft would require they be built by hand. Of course he could add in mod tools to make it very easy and he’d basically just paint over the walls with a block pattern, but it’s still some decent work if that’s the case.

I imagine the hardest bit to work around is needing multiple different maps. Because of the world height limit you couldn't actually fit all the layers on top of each other, so like in parkour civilisation, there would need to be multiple different maps, and its by cutting the video in certain places that you transition between maps. As for the PvP guard area, from my initial watch of it, I don't think Evbo ever really fleshed out how the guard levels world from their POV in season 1. I imagine during the time of the stone sword episodes Evbo was focusing on building the diamond level, and working out the lore for how the iron and gold sword levels worked. I imagine he had the girlfriend plotline planned from day 1, and the significance of the video journal planned, as well as the diamond swords planned, but the journey of reaching the conclusion feels much more improvised on an episode to episode basis, with only the vauge parts of the story planned. I also believe that for most of the episodes, Evbo only had 3 or 4 actors actually on the world. Obviously Evbo plays Ebvo, someone plays the woman, and someone else plays the guard characters, and I think there may be another actor that plays some of the other Swords. Certainly on the iron level I think they may have had 5 players in one space at a time? But the world does really feel empty. I think the work is awesome, don't get me wrong, but I think a little could go a long way, even if its just getting a few more actors to play non speaking roles just to show other characters in the background to make the world feel more lived in and less empty. Maybe you see a guard in the distance outside someone elses door. Something like that.
