This! My ex was super abusive, I have a lot of medical conditions that make it harder to lose weight cos of dietary restrictions and the medication I'm on. He didn't care and called me fat and lazy even though I walk a lot, drink tons of water and try to eat less (I will admit I still struggle with cutting out junk food as it is a comfort to me). He would constantly make me feel bad, I ended up getting an eating disorder where I was starving myself and drinking all sorts of weight loss drinks, over exercising to the point of exhaustion. I wasn't losing weight fast enough for him so I ended up becoming depressed, binge eating and then throwing up. I ended up causing myself dental issues, major stomach issues and a bad relationship with food that I'm still trying to fix today. He didn't care because I was just an object to him, I needed to look a certain way to please him and if I didn't I was "not trying". The funny thing is, he wasn't even fit or anything, nor was he healthy (he was a smoker, drank and did other unhealthy things). I'm so glad we broke up because even though I'm still big now, I can say I'm healthier as I no longer binge eat, purge or restrict myself like that. My husband is very supportive towards me, helps me pick out better food options and encourages me to do my best regarding excercise when I get demotivated. He also has never put any pressure on me to lose weight as fast as possible, he has told me that it will definitely take time and I should rather be consistent than harm myself trying to achieve impossible results. I hope this lady gets away from this man, he doesn't care about her. He is using her to fulfill fantasies, she is an object to him and it's horrific.

I feel like dudes like Rusty don't just like "fat girls" because of their size. I think they have an aspect of them that likes fat girls because of the (very real) idea that women who are that large have a low self esteem and are less likely to feel as if they can do better/leave them. It explains why he's so against her losing weight, and gets offended over her choosing a male trainer: If she loses weight and exercises, then her self esteem and confidence goes up. She will over time realize that she's worth more than a marriage based on Rusty's fetish, and then she'll eventually leave him. TLDR: Rusty is probably against the idea of her losing weight not only because he likes fat girls, but because of his own insecurities when it comes to his wife gaining more self esteem/confidence and possibly leaving this fetish fueled relationship. I started keto three weeks ago. I don't need to lose weight, but I want to eat fewer carbs. My boyfriend was immediately supportive, and now cooks and eats keto meals with me. He also encourages me to order keto stuff when we're out to dinner, even when we share plates, and doesn't ever give me a hard time for not eating the bun on my hamburger or for looking into what foods I can or can't eat. He even asks for carb content when he orders something for me. He doesn't ever criticize me, try to deter me from my diet, or flaunt eating french fries in front of me. In fact, he'll take them away so they're not sitting in front of me, tempting me. I shouldn't be surprised, because he is consistently supportive and encouraging regarding my fitness goals and habits, and accommodates my workout schedule without question. Even so, I never imagined a partner could be so supportive about a diet that I technically don't really need. Everybody deserves someone like this.

I can't imagine viewing my partner the way Rusty does. I'm attracted to my boyfriend for his attentive, kind, and genuine personality. Thick or thin, he's my honey bear. We're both obese, working on being healthier in life, and when it comes to his shape and size all that I'm concerned about is his good health, physically and mentally. He's not much of a cook (longtime bachelor before dating me) and reliant on pizza and other fast food because he's often tired from work. I try to employ my cooking talents so that we both have more wholesome, homecooked meals, and I leave my man with some leftovers so he has more homecooked meals to take to work in between our days together. Have you tried freezer meals? There is a ton of vidéos on KZbin about those. You do a big meal prep when you have the time or just cook more and freeze half of what you cook. Then when you are having one of those days when you juste don't have time or energy to cook you just pop one dish in the oven and you have a healthy homemade meal ready. I did that for my post-partum and I am glad I did.

You can also try buying a rice cooker. Asian people use this all the time. The rice will get cooked before you know it, and you can add veggies, meat, stew to it. And no, rice does not make you fat. It'll be way better than eating pizA or fast food

Insecurity about your significant other spending time with some of the opposite sex is so unflattering. My husband is the stay at home parent, so a LOT of his daily interactions is with moms at the park or library (since it is disproportionately women who stay home and kiddo needs socialization). I COULD get all flustered about "how dare you talk to other women?!", or I could just be like "cool, you have friends. Glad you can get out of the house." My partner loves me no matter what. When I finally got serious about losing weight he is right there with me. Reminding me why I’m losing weight when I feel discouraged. Reminding me of how far I’ve already come. Letting me know with excitement when he sees physical changes and cheering with me when I see the scale drop. The funny thing..for me who's fairly fit..I love junk food and healthy food. When I started losing weight, my husband and I stopped eating out so much. I felt bad because we were already limited on where we could eat because of me (celiac) and now I was saying I didn't want to eat out anymore. I apologized to him one day and he told me that it was OK. He said he understood I was trying to get healthier and be more comfortable in my body and that he was proud of me. It's hard because at the beginning of our relationship we did bond a lot over food and eating out was a regular occurrence but now that I wanted to be healthier and lose weight we can do other things to bond like go to the zoo, walk around the city, explore new areas, etc. I was so happy after he told me that. I felt so loved that he was willing to stand by me while I tried to grow (or shrink) even if it inconvenienced him. THAT is the way a real partner should respond. NOT by being upset that you don't want to die early so he can get his dick wet.
