The process is to carry the guy into the boards when 2 players are engaged together as was the case here. Leaf’s player clearly extended his arm outward to propel the player into the boards head first whether intentionally or or not. Right call was made on the ice Unlike the view of Toronto situation room. The video from Ice level towards the net shows the arm extension. 2:22

Nope, slow it down to .25 speed, Rielly barely moves that arm, at that speed it's a nonfactor, issue is entirely at that moment Point loses and edge and his right foot lifts, simply unfortunate. Man, you have to understand, it’s a completely different call (probably 5 minute major) if the puck was just sitting in the corner and Reilly pushes Point into the boards. Watch the puck. It hits the boards and comes back at both their feet when the push occurs. There’s no interference and no boarding call to be made in this situation. The refs made the decision based on where the puck was when Point was about to play it. Point should have been ready for a bump and he wasn’t….
