This evokes bittersweet nostalgia to see this great interview clips/stories from the band's heyday....something we were devoid of in the States during that era for some of us forlorn diehards (no KZbin or "international" music news for artists that weren't mega mainstream). Also a gross reminder of the genius 😑 in band management that decided it was a great idea to present the band to America -- and elsewhere, apparently -- lip-syncing their songs rather than live performances. The irony of Mark talking about virtuosity and musicianship being "tragically" marketed away... 😶

I wish the band hadn't split up two years after this video. They could have written some fabulous stuff together. If only they had got on and not become exhausted.

I think they made great albums and peaked with Running in the Family in 1988, so they went out on a high note as an original band. Staring at the Sun is a very good follow on in 1988 but Guaranteed is mundane in 1991. He’s right about the mid 80s being a low, lots of big stars we’re slowly going low profile with sub par material. McCartney, Neil Young, The Who, The Stones, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, The Police, all pretty lost around 1986.

Is it just me or was Boon not a very happy guy, seems like in many of his appearances he hardly smiles and hardly seems to be enjoying himself, he also seems like a very reclusive guy, shame he took his own life 2 years ago.

Suffered from biploar disorder, poor fella. RIP Boon.
