I completely renovated my grandfather’s home last year after he passed away and I bought the house. It is an intense emotional journey, lemme tell you. Feeling like you don’t have a “home” in the meantime is very VERY difficult. You become impatient and just want the rest of your life to begin in this new home you’ve built, but seeing it finally coming together and imagining yourself building memories in these walls makes it worth every minute waiting and every dime spent. It adds value which is especially important if you won’t be there long enough for the value to go up on its own. So first thing; Morgan you’re so blessed! I don’t have a dad at all (was taken as a child due to abuse) & I see you with Bruce who’s amazing & now Bryan, too! 🥺🥹😭 Jealous but so happy for you!🤍 Secondly, March used to be my most dreaded month because it’s my birthday month & I grew up in a very….painfully toxic household. So, my birthdays weren’t celebrated. In fact, I was mocked & belittled even more than normal on my birthday. I subconsciously carried that into my adulthood & this year I finally realized that I was resenting my birthday for reasons beyond my control which wasn’t healthy & I made the decision to break that cycle & begin embracing & celebrating my life instead. My birthday was the 16th ☺️ We’re (my young boys, boyfriend, & I) beginning to celebrate tomorrow.. & I’m excited to say that I’m now with you, Morgan! I was laughing at you with your cat. I call my 2 cats and my dog squatters because they don’t earn their keep. They use to catch any flies that came into the house, but since they’ve started getting outside and hunting properly they don’t bother with flies anymore 😐. I really wish we had a Thread Up here in Scotland, UK. The closest we’ve got are the charity shops that are in more posher areas. So apart from those and Vinted we don’t have anything like it. When we built our house (20 years ago) I insisted on putting our laundry room upstairs, too! (We have a 4 floor Victorian)-my contractors thought I was a bit nuts…We put a drain in the floor and it was the best decision I ever made! We are still here!! My house is Mega small and we didn't think it was going to be a big deal when we moved in and bought the house but off of the dining room which is off of the kitchen there's a room that has the burner and laundry hookups and we figured we'd make that door pantry you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to walk all the way over there to grab something? I use most of the cabinets now for a pantry and the extra stuff I put in that room or if it's too big for the cabinets and also we use the garage because it's right off of the kitchen LOL we have lots of places we put food LOL
