Definitely looking forward for a detailed comparison of these against the UPS PP bi-led/laser, M-LED 1.0, Profile bi-led 1.0 & 2.0, koito bi-led, D2S 5.0 and G5-R + CBI @ 35W & 55W and S V4 H4 PNP LED bulbs. I know that's a little much to ask but at least ensure you include LB+HB, beam width, warm up and stabilizing time, light distribution, power consumption, tear down, etc

I'm glad I waited to take the plunge on buying projectors until last week(cause I was procrastinating on starting this project, not because I was waiting for this product). I'm really impressed with my initial comparisons of the stock projectors on my R32 skyline. I also made a video about the projector, because there's really not much information on youtube about them. At the time, there had only been 2 videos and only one was all that useful. I bought mine from Lightwerkz and have no complaints about the company. I did buy 3 items from them (2 on one order) and 1 on a separate order the next day and everything shipped from different locations and arrived on different days. It wasn't an issue for me, but it is something to keep in mind. Still very happy with the shipping speed on everything and would definitely buy from them again.

It would be sweet if Morimoto made different size removable threaded adapters for this 2.0 to save widening the bulb hole to fit these. A h1 bulb sized hole for example. Either way can't wait for your comparisons with others.

Freakin awesome!! The only reason.. and I do mean ONLY reason, I haven't installed the M.2 Bi-LED lights is the fact that if they go, I now have to re-open the headlight to change the entire unit.. rather than just a rear-accessible bulb (like with the HIDs). It would be awesome if they were to produce a M.2 type version that uses rear access/removable LED bulbs (with the same beam output & quality)

dandnguyen that’s my only hesitation. I’m going to put D2S 5.0 or MLED 2.0 in my van. I’m going to have this vehicle 15-20 years. I love the simplicity of the MLED, But scared about what happens when it dies. At least with D2S you can replace bulbs, ballasts, etc from the outside. I’m torn.

Have you thought about testing BX Built LED projectors? I saw a post on their instagram story once, comparing their projectors to the MLED 2.0, and they look waaaay brighter.
@LightwerkzGlobal3 жыл бұрын
It's doubtful they would be superior to the MLED 2.0. Only way to test though would be with a meter to to take different readings - but aside from what real world on road testing and output photos are even more important. Its not always about the center intensity; more so about the overall beam distribution. The generic LED projectors just dont have proper distribution. Most pack a punch but have poor width and loads of foreground lighting. If you study the output shots of the MLED 2.0 - it puts the light right where you need it.

When you realize the stock H4 halogens in toyota FJ reflectors have a peak illuminance of 909 lux and the H4 S-V.4 have a peak of 1238 lux which is far higher than the m-led 2.0's 809lx!
@LightwerkzGlobal4 жыл бұрын
The H4 Fj, had a peak lux of about 404 in high beam. 238 in low beam - in halogen of course. The 1238 peak was in high beam mode, and yes it still beats out the MLED in terms of sheer intensity. But we know lighting performance is much more than just peak lux figures. Its about the control and distribution of the light pattern.
