Moringa: The miracle tree. A documentary made by Discovery Channel
survivalgarden...
It’s also known as the horseradish tree, drumstick tree, benzolive tree, kelor, marango, mlonge, moonga, mulangay, nébéday, saijhan, sajna or Ben oil tree and has become naturalized in many parts of the tropics including Central/South America.This plant is a significant source of vitamins and protein. In the same breath, its perennial, drought resistant and can flourish in horrible soil. It follows the Survival Gardener mantra well, “low input, high output”. Minimal work will bring pounds upon pounds of harvest throughout the year. It can also be dried and powdered for long term storage or used for tea. Moringa powder can be used to nutritionally bolster anything you’re eating.
If you’re interested in becoming less dependent on the supermarket, I highly suggest adding this to your garden. We have over 50 moringa oleifera trees growing on the property now. It’s a rapidly growing tree and I strongly suggest keeping it cut short to a level where leaf collection is possible. It’s common for these to grow 10-15 feet per year. Even if it gets too tall, you can always cut this tough tree short again and it will come back.

@@TheHonestPeanutWhat’s the difference between a farmer who has decades of experience compared to a student who has fully studied agriculture? The student may know all of the facts regarding farming, however the farmer ACTUALLY applies his knowledge and has genuine experience in the field (no pun).
@TheHonestPeanut

@@xk_monster not only did I not ask what the difference between a farmer and doctor is but you didn't even correctly answer the question you made up as a distraction. To get a PhD in agricultural fields you don't just sit in a class room and read books. You go out and gain that experience you think they don't have. That's part of being a doctor of something. Now stop wasting my time.

I LIVE IN ARLINGTON TEXAS.. I STARTED DRINKING MORINGA POWDER IN 2021 AFTER I SAW A TESTIMONY ON TV. MY HOUSEKEEPER BROUGHT ME SOME SEED PODS FROM FLORIDA LAST YEAR . I PLANTED SOME IN MY YARD AND IN 5 MONTHS AMAZINGLY I HAD A 6 FT TREE. IN LATE DECEMBER I WAS HOSPITALIZED AND MY MORINGA TREES DIED BECAUSE OF A SNOWSTORM WHILE I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL. TODAY NOVEMBER 24, 2023 I AM GROWING 8 MORINGA TREES IN MY LIVINGROOM...I WILL REPLANT OUTSIDE AS SOON AS THE LAST FROST IS OVER. A BAG OF MORINGA POWDER IS AROUND $15 USD. BLESSINGS TO ALL MANKIND.

Been growing this tree for years and it has been so beneficial It's crazy now Western population knows nothing about this almost every doctor I ask doesn't have a clue, although I did learn about this tree from one of my primary doctors who started growing 10 acres over 30 years ago he sells it in his practice to capsules per day I put 20 people in a beta program regards to America and to this day not one of them has come back and said it's really not good for me It just doesn't work each and every person has come back and said Bill please do you have more so it no doubt is everything it says it is, there's a rare edema called woody edema They say that you cannot get rid of this particular edema without extreme time and years of changing so many different pharmaceutical meds Just the Moringa oil alone put on Woody edema got rid of it within a week's time The stain is still there but the hard rocky surface that normally is associated with Woody edema is gone That alone makes it a miracle oil in itself let alone hair growth and acne etc

Was used in the Americas since the Maya and other American civilizations, so how can it be introduced from Africa and India?
@Survivalgardener
@Survivalgardener 8 ай бұрын
I've only found one blog post claiming that Mayans used it and one oil supplement claiming to be the "Mayan's Secret ". Meanwhile the bulk of the research points to it being native to India and East Asia. One research artical I found states that "Although there is existing literature that supports the use of moringa as a vegetable and potential weapon against malnutrition in south Asia and parts of Africa, less is known about its usage in Latin America, specifically in Mexico. Mexico is of interest because moringa likely first reached the Americas via the Pacific coast of Mexico as part of the galleon trade between Manila and Acapulco, with the earliest known records of its arrival in the Americas being from Mexico (Olson & Fahey, 2011)" That would put its arrival into the Americas around 1565 to 1815. Any sources you're aware of that point to earlier?
