This song is a little autobiographical because of the road to love that she and Dave Lamar had to travel before finally they are together. The Bus is outfitted with some great equipment and for some reason this rolling studio has a sound that is singular. And it seems everybody gets upset with the call numbers placement. It their business they can do what they want. Anyway back to Morissette, someone asked her if she reached out that hand just before the first set of whistle notes to give her stability? She said she didn't even realize she had done that, but no, she didn't need to stabilize anything. There is a video of Morissette singing a whistle tone for 2 minutes I'll give you that link below. Did you catch that last or next to last verse or movement where she sang a long time without taking breath? It was 17 seconds long. AKEEN-KAH-NAH-LAHNG...high whistle note (with a riff in it) of A6 (sliding up from a held B4 belt), two long phrases without taking breath...one of 12 sec, and one after a short catch breath a phrase with no breath of 14 seconds. Last whistle note was an E5 I think....her "squeaks" are split second whistle notes per her, sitting in a chair also makes breath control harder ....writer of song Francis goes by "Kiko" (KEE-KOE) Salazar..who wrote it specifically with Morissette singing it in mind.

Great reaction as always. I've watched this video several hundred times over the last year . I'm blown away every single time. I saw her in concert back in April 2022. She can do so many different things when she sings and do them extremely well. It's almost impossible to compare singers . For me, she is the best singer I've ever heard. And it's a live band performance...inside the bus! This is a must. Also not to be missed on the Wishbus is the Arnel Pineda (frontman for the legendary American rock group Journey) and Morissette's cover of the Barbra Streisand/Bryan Adams' song, "I Finally Found Someone", theme from the Streisand-directed movie, The Mirror Has Two Faces. What a wonderful thing it is to watch two people react so honestly to this amazing talent that you are listening to. You two have the right recipe. Next thing up for Mori could be Stages Sessions where she does "Defying Gravity" and "She Use To Be Mine". Both like any great Broadway song makes one smile and think. Something a little more updated has to be "Halo". There are several versions of this but please check out the one where she is in a black top with floral patches.
