This is the 2021 song to cover so far lol It's the Adele Hello cover of yesteryear. I love the a capella choice. It definitely went in the direction no one else went. In the notes her Fiance said he suggested she do it bare so we could hear what he hears when she breaks out in song around him. Imagine getting that serenade daily! That bridge tho. That's completely her. The original relies on all out layerd backgroud vocals and heavy synth there. Morissette had to fill in that blank vocally, I LOVE the outcome! This was a departure for her because she's been focusing on original material, and she usually picks covers that are not current and trendy, but I think this one was too much to resist. Thank you for having our girl back on your channel! I keep up with you on IG and Twitter I sometimes forget to comment here!!

yes Mori was so on point with the pitch but the tempo was slightly faster on the bridge , you can hear that when you try to overlay the original with this video. Maybe a faint metronome could have helped her. stay on tempo.

Obviously, you are in the minority sorry to tell you that! With all due respect, most reactors and viewers disagree with you. Morissette has the guts to do this because not all singers have the courage to not only do a capella but also expose the weakness(es) of a singer's vocal technique. But, you said what you said and that of course is your own personal preference. Thanks for letting me air my side as well.

As I said in my commentary, I appreciate and am impressed that she was able to do it acapella, because I know how difficult and unforgiving that can be. I never tried to discredit her talent, and I never said this performance was bad; I only said that I would have preferred some musical accompaniment. That’s all 😁
