So much better the lower exhaust Looks great sounds great & room for saddle bags both sides

That's the best looking exhaust I've seen on those bikes yet. Just leave the Footpegs alone, they don't detract from the looks at all.

You mean the rear foot peg? yeh, i tried removing them and it looked weird, have them back on now.

I went to the shop last week looking for my next Honda and sat on a few. This was the one I was thinking of settling on and I think you just put me over the edge seeing that you have it. Did a handful of your mods on my Grom and am very pleased. Your videos are the best. Hope to be doing some of these on a new bike in the not too distant future. Keep up the great work, bud.

The SCL denomination is due to the CL500 name being registered by Mercedes-Benz in North America... read it somewhere...

As others have said, now it can easily use saddlebags on BOTH sides. The muffler is also still high enough for riding dirt. The SCL500 is now again on my radar. My wife's heavy Benelli 500 Leoncino Trail is thirsty and uses Premium, in addition to not having much aftermarket support in the USA.

Unit Garage do one great looking mid height pipe...you can always use Lextek headers from a CB500X and get a custom muffler shop to make the small mid section!
@captainkirk37575 ай бұрын
Have the same exhaust on mine and I love it! just the right amount of sound with a much cleaner look as much as I would love to have high side pipes the oil pan sits just as low as the collector anyway so it wouldn't gain any ground clearance..

Hi, the big big problème with this moto: you can't put engine stone guard too make a litle off road, because of the exhaust too big, passing under the engine
@eastcoastish14 күн бұрын
There are a few different rock guards available like the one from H2C - I believe Steady Garage will also eventually release the one from their SCL500 project.

@@alec5241 no, it just threads on. Make sure to wind the cable in the opposite direction first so that the cable isnt wound up when you screw it in.

Any suggestions for what to do about the White lubricant container that sits right there in the middle of the engine? To me it sticks out way too much, but spray painting it black means I can't see what's inside anymore lol

It’s the brake fluid reservoir for the rear brake - I was thinking about making an aluminum cover for it or something. I agree it sticks out.

The one thing that stopped me from buying one is the ugly wannabe scrambler exhaust they put on this bike. Low mount looks better, also a whole lot more useful if you intend to travel with this bike.

Its crazy that Honda doesn't offer this style exhaust as an option. They kinda dropped the ball imo.

The exhaust is the size it is because of emissions. In the US, at least, a manufacturer legally cannot provide equipment for sale that makes a bike non complaint.
