I love, Mormons.the ones that take the church seriously concerning honesty, helping each other, and search for the truth. I am, of course, speaking of former Mormons. Wayne Sermon ROCKS!

As a raised catholic but not religious person myself , l am fascinated by other religions, l read the coran as a teenager to try and understand more. I am a fan of Wayne's music and personality as much as l can see and listened to this with goosebumps and tears in my eyes. The main thing to believe in, to find support and joy, always was, is, and will be kindness and love. 💕

Amen. The goodness and divinity is inside each of us, not in any church of religion. No person put it there. Always been. Own that whether you stay in or leave the church.

Great analogy with the guitar. I really like how you explained your transition out of the church.

Thrive! What an outstanding event. A true testimony to the possibility of a future where love, freedom and inclusion can replace the hate, slavery and isolation that is Mormonism. I can’t think of anyone who has done as much to help so many to break the bonds of high demand religions through increased understanding as John Dehlin. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” John is a man of both intelligence and character, but his integrity and his commitment to reaching those who are broken or hurting or lost that makes him stand out. Every speaker at Thrive was terrific and had something important to share. The only comment I would like to share, and it is not so much a criticism as a suggestion is that as we know most people leaving Mormonism often also leave religion altogether. And having come to know the real Joseph Smith, what did Wayne Sermon call him, “a huckster and philanderer,” I can understand why. But there are some of us too that have come out of Mormonism while still holding on to Christianity. I would caution that, as PostMormons, we not be guilty of the same philosophical stratification that was such an ugly feature of the organization we have rejected.

So sorry for the former lds members that come out from a hell to enter the world without the protection of a real Saviour Jesus Christ. Not the Jesus of the Mormons but Jesus of Nazareth. Lord Jesus is coming soon and we all need to have a personal relationship with Him. Please just accept Lord Jesus Christ as your personal and unique Savior. Blessings brother.

So sad to worship a Church instead of "the Creator of the trillion stars and our real Father.
