cindybin2001 Cindy, please calm down. While I don't want to offend you, you have been rude to someone outside of our church and someone inside of it. You cannot always expect people to support you, especially when you may have offended and scared away someone who may not even have any idea what you are doing. Some people just what the best for others, and sometimes you're going to be corrected and told that not everyone has the luck to know what we do. If this thinking continues, please consider speaking with your bishop.

You guys have literally warmed my heart about Mormonism. Not saying I hated you guys but I was raised to like believe that Mormonism was a cult. But your religion makes so much more sense to me after watching. I also thought that Mormons hated gay people and that’s why I tried to stay away from them. But after like researching I found out that my highschool has so many Mormon people. And y’all are the kindest people I have ever met. In my experience, there are three kinds of anti-mormon commentators in youtube comment sections: 1. The confusing kind. The kind where you can't really tell what they're saying (usually because they make grammer errors or skip words). 2. The so-stupid-they're-funny kind. Most of the really intense ones are this way. 3. The disturbing kind. The talented ones. They seem convincing at first, but don't when you think about them. They're the kind that make you feel sick and depressed.

I am grateful to Heavenly father for introducing me to the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints! I am a convert, and have a very strong testimony to share to the world. Once again I must state had it not been for my loving eternal companion Kitty and the church, I would not be upon this earth! To those of the outside Isn’t it funny that currently there are over 16 1/2 million members, including those that may have left we have the fullness of the gospel . The church is open to all who may want to have a better understanding! Case in point look at west Africa the church is open to any and all people. How many other churches out there have a modern-day prophet, as well as a modern day quorum of the 12?

In 1980 1981 1982 I was reading all anti Mormon book and I would but the tanners book Mormonism shadow and reality. By. Jerald and Sandra tanner then I started buying every anti Mormon book I could get my hands on. I would go get anti morno Christian pamphlets against the church. I went to all anti Mormon seminars that were conferences held by ex Mormons as well. I bought cassette tapes I Mormonism back In the 1980s. I had anti Mormon books up the ying yang had every kind of anti Mormon book you could think of. I had Mormonism mamma and me. I had tracts against morrnons written by Arthur and Edna budvarsons. Former Mormons. I had what's going on in their by chuck sackett. I had all of the tanners books. I had Walter martins book kingdom of the cults. And the four major cults by Anthony hoekema. I was obsessed withcukts and I was anti Ronan Catholic. Anti Mormon anti seventh day Adventist. Anti Jehovah witnesses anti everything. Igit tithe point I told everyone they were a cult and going to hell. My Mormon neighbor friends I grew up with threw me out of their house because I had fine over their house preaching to them about how Mormonism is wrong. I was 23 and 24 and all I did was believe what I was told about the morning and I read everything about the mormons and believed it. I watched anti Mormon movies in churches as well. I went out and passed out tracts and put them. Out of the Mormon parking lots outside the church ward buildings. I told everyone they were going to hell ... I had fine with my Mormon fbeighbir friends to church a few times just to see what it's like to be in a Mormon church. At the time it was fioriegn t me but after going to the morrmon church to visit I told my evangelical friends and my evangelical friends reprimanded me and told me not to go. The Baptist fundamentalist church I was going to had a change of pastors. The brand new pastor that took over our Baptist fundamentalist church was a ex Mormon. This pastor that was ex Mormon fired all the Christian staff at the Christian school and replaced them. With his people.this pastor who was ex Mormon made a lot of changes. In 1982 and 1984 I started going to this other church living stream ministries by witness lee. Watchman nee and witness lee both were writers of the local church living stream ministries . They were considered a cult by the cult writers because this church believed in extra biblical revelation and had modern apostles and taught about modern day revelation. I had a Christian in the Baptist church argue with the other Christian women I was going to her church. Both would fight over me. The Christian lady from the Baptist church would pull me away from the other church by giving me anti living stream ministries propaganda of cult writers saying this group I was in was a cult then the other Christian lady gave me apolgetic material rebuttleing the anti cult propaganda books. The living stream ministries had win a lawsuit against a Christian author who was calling this church a cult by Jack Sparks the mindbenders . All books that were anti had to be taken off the market because research showed living stream ministries was not a cult after further investigation. I started learning about yellow journalism and I saw how cult writers would take every book out of context and misquote it out of context using their arguments and interpretations . I started comparing the two and I saw how the cult writer was misusing the living stream ministries materials in deception. This made me think twice ...if anti cult writers can lie about living stream ministries local church whose to say that the anti cult writers against Mormonism aren't lying. This made me take a second look and reinvestigate. My brother in law lead my sister to the lord and they wanted to have the wedding at the Baptist church I use to go to. The pastor that was ex Mormon who was the pastor of that Baptist church really didn't want me their but their was nothing. He could do because it was a family wedding. The ex Mormon pastor had told the congregation and elders of that Baptist church that I was passing out deciding propaganda. In 1985 I went back to the Baptist church I use to go to with the Mormon. Missionaries to watch the anti Mormon movie the Godmakers. The pastor and elders were looking at us and we're trying to get us to leave. The Mormon missionaries and I did not leave. We remain their watching the anti Mormon movie. In 1985 I took the missionary lessons several times and I received a witness if the spirit of the book of Mormon and the church at that time. Then November 10 1985 I got baptized and confirmed at the church if Jesus Christ of latter day saints ...I had a powerful spiritual experience recieving the gift of the holy ghost

I actually left the church for a while because I heard of some of the things that Joseph Smith did. To clarify, people are referring to the time that he "used the urim and thummim to lead people to buried treasure" which he would ultimately say that "they couldn't dig up because reasons and they had to pay him anyways." I haven't heard much on the ACCURACY of this claim, but it's most likely where he got the stigma as "con man"

Also Jesus went to hell before rising to heaven to show even if you are a sinner you can still be with him because he was once there. Not to the America’s

The elders absolutely do get paid large salaries. Everything is funded by the members who must pay 10% of all income or they cannot have a temple recommend. That's important because they cannot go to the celestial kingdom if they have not taken the endowments that they go through only in the temple. So in order to have eternal salvation, you MUST pay your tithe. They go through your income once a year to make sure you really are paying your full tithe

He is claimed to have been a con man because he was paid by people to use a seer stone to find treasure, and he would find this treasure by putting a stone he found in a well as a child into a hat, putting his head against the brim of that hat (sound familiar yet? It also happens to be one of his methods for translating the BoM), and bringing his client to a random spot but telling them that the treasure was cursed and that it would sink farther down as they dug and was thus lost forever. Sorry if this sounds hateful, I'm not trying to be, but he asked why people are calling him a con man and I'm just saying where they are getting that conclusion from.
@Old_and_Wise6 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you know a little bit about his dealings with Josiah Stowell (who was the man that hired Joseph and asked for his help). But it also sounds like you're missing half the story. It so happens to have been Josiah's nephew who claimed Joseph conned his uncle; not Josiah. In fact, in the court case, Josiah stands before the judge to testify of Joseph's innocence - that he hadn't been conned by Joseph Smith. The judge dismissed all charges; and that was that.

I am glad for you though that you are so happy in the Catholic Church you spend your days trolling Mormon websites. So, things are slow where you are?

I can't believe Jim Caponzi hasn't responded in these comments. It makes me wonder how his kids feel about his KZbin comments where he uses their very existence as some sort of badge of righteousness so shamelessly.

My dad was the one in 1977 that told me I didn't have to go to mass anymore since I was not getting anything out of it I was glad but at the same time I felt guilty and my dad's side of the family during the holidays disapproved of me leaving the Roman Catholic church. I still had it in my head that God was going to send me to hell because I left the Roman Catholic church. I dabbled I spiritualism in 1977 1978 and 1979. My Mormon neighbors told me not to dabble in spiritualism. Y interest only lasted temporarily. My Mormon neighbors had offered me to read the book of Mormon and talk to the Mormon missionaries. In 1978 1979. I was 20 And 21 years old. I really didn't understand spiritual things. I knew very little about the Mormons simply because if that dear of going to hell. As I was indoctrinated by the Roman Catholic church. Idonvaguely remember when the missionaries were talking to me at age 18 and 19 I remember feeling this familiar spirit and i felt like I had always known them. I always believed In a life before I was born on earth. My Mormon neighbor friends Michael and Terri I associated with because we all went to the same elementary school and we alll hang out with all. The neighborhood kids. I would go to my Mormon neighbors house and play on their piano and they were impressed andi taught the Mormon kids piano lessons too. We did other social things together as well. Well in the year 1979 my Mormon. Neighbors decided to fast and pray for me that I would read the book of Mormon and pray about it and get baptized and confirmed and be a member of the church if Jesus Christ of latter day saints. Two weeks after my Mormon neighbors fasted and prayed to God that' I would read the book of Mormon and pray about it be baptized and confirmed I became a born again Christian and I got saved june 23 1979 and I accepted Christ as my personal saviour and had the born again experience if recieving the lord and having a personal relationship with the lord Jesus Christ who is God manifest in the flesh who is the Messiah. When. I became born again. I had a special spiritual experience that changed my life. I suddenly became a new creature in Christ. My Christian friends invited me to their wedding and I heard the most powerful sermon. In what the world says Jesus Christ is and what the Bible says Jesus Christ is. I absorbed that In my heat and soul. When the pastor told me that I needed to Believe in the lord j Jesus Christ and believe that he died on the cross for my sins through the blood of Jesus Christ and to believe that he died and was crucified and arise the third day and was resurrected. The pastor told me to believe I Jesus Christ confess with thy mouth and repent and trust him. I went on my knees and I talked to the lord from my heart and I reoebted and ask the lord to forgive me for all of my sins of the past and present and future sins. I prayed for aboitz30 minutes just right front heart. After I prayed I felt the spirit of Christ go right into me. I felt different and all of a sudden. I felt hot oeace and once and for all. I felt like a new creature in Christ Jesus. I felt the love of God agape love inside the lord did a special miracle for me during this special spiritual experience. I knew I was instantly saved. I was given a Bible and for the first time I saw the Bible and I read John chapter One the first three verses and I could actually understand what I was reading. Before I became a born again Christian. I had a learning disability of reading comprehension problem. Well. I accepted the lord the lord gave me my mind and gave me a new mind. I ask my dad if I could go to this Baptist church and my dad told me John yiureold enough you're,21". My mother supported me becoming a born again Christian. I served the lord and I went to the fundamentalist Baptist church I lead y best friend Clifford to the lord and ge accepted Christ as his personal saviour. I was learning the Bible which I hadn't learned in Ronan catholicism. I lived reading and studying the Bible and I had a witness that the Bible is true. A 10O. It wasn't until I went to the fundamentalist Baptist evangelical church that I started learning about the mormons from their perspective. What did I know vi was just a brand new Christian so I listened to the pastor when he did talk about Mormonism. Then I started learning more about Ronan catholicism. As well. So I became anti Ronan Catholic and anti Mormon. Now the journey begins when I came over to my Mormon. Neighbors house and I started preaching about being born again and how to get saved and how we can reoebt and be forgive of our sins through the blood of Christ. My Mormon neighbors were shocked because I never had initiated the topic of religion to them before. I was excited sharing my new faith to my Mormon friends and at that time I was saying to my Mormon neighbors hellekujah praise the Lord brothers and sisters. It all started in 1980 when I went to my first Bible bookstore for the first time in my life the first book bought and got my hands on was a book about Mormonism called. the maze of Mormonism. By Walter Martin. I read that anti Mormon book like it was the Bible. I read the book cover to cover I read it over and over and I was si absorbed reading that book against Mormonism that I believed everything that book said.

#LOVE Y'ALL! It's definitely #REAL🖒❤👏👏I WILL BE THE FIRST to say,"I use to stereotype what I'm NOW A #VERY#PROUD CONVERT from nondenomination, Baptist southern Baptist, methodist,nondenomination church 48 years of NEVER asking questions, but instead I stereotype assumed, when I saw missionary walking down the streets coming to my door I always assumed that it was Jehovah's Witnesses, I even had an opportunity in Germany during the Gulf War when my husband was in Iraq as I babysat for another military wife friend of mine who said she was going to Temple and she dropped her kids off to me with a video tape of Saturday's Warriors like the 89 version LOL and a Book of Mormons which I never touched it collected dust while I lived in Germany and I told her that I will not look at it because I strictly believe in the Bible and I believe in the Holy Spirit as I feel it I would raise my hands in the air clap sing do praise and worship as our churches had bands up above that played Christian music that we sang and did praise and worship 2 which I still find that I love my praise and worship music as I listen to it in my car at home and enjoy it, but recently my sister has been married to an LDS Mormon and for years I never even asked her any questions I just kept assuming and finally the night before she moved to Fort Bragg North Carolina as my brother inlaw is army,I asked her what is the big deal about all of this and the temple? As she replied something that made so much sense to me that I was so excited! What BEAUTIFUL miracleous things that we can do in temple!I was jumping up and down and happiness and I felt the truth right then in there! I said, I knew there was more to all of this! I knew there had to be more! Why I never asked a questions yet I am so excited to learn and no more and from that day in February the missionaries came met with me and I was baptized March 24th by my brother-in-law who I'm grateful for that was actually able to make it on my baptism day because of being in the military your time is the government's time is military time and God's timing worked it out so he could come back to baptize me😁☝️❤✌🙏 and ordained on March 25th and had my calling and primary right away and I have never been happier in choosing my faith and believing and testifying many testimonies from February to this present day☝️✌❤🙏 I have learned so much more than ever before, I watch the Mormon channel, I listen to speeches and general conferences and the district I love so very much❤ 🖒I wish there was a District 3 4 5 Etc LOL I love watching the missionaries open their letters to see where they are going as it tears me up I am emotional in the spirit and I Cry of joy☝️❤✌🙏 and praying peace that passes all understanding, for all of us, and all we do and always say in each breath we take in the name of Jesus I think Heavenly Father for the doors opening and All Hearts opening to want and desire to know and love all of this with the peace that passes all understanding in the name of Jesus and I testify this and that I am very happy to be a missionary mommm in the Janesville Ward as I adopt all missionary as my own and anybody in the world who needs extra prayer help or just needs to talk I love loving people and I am terminally ill and I definitely have many testimonies book full of testimonies that I want to use as helping others and paying it forward I've been through so much in my childhood to the present and when my twin died 4 years ago it was a hard thing to go through as my terminal illness is getting worse by the day I miss my kids who are in Louisiana and Colorado as I financially cannot afford to live there where I did live in the Louisiana I am in Wisconsin living with my mom and after 30 surgeries and a brain and spine surgery there is no more to be done so while I am alive I will find ways to be that child of heavenly father in to do his will and his plan for me on Earth and I feel my twin in the spirit world every day and I so know and see visions of what she shows me as so beautiful I just want to say God bless y'all INFINITY peace that passes all understanding ☝️✌❤🙏☝️✌❤❤❤😇😘

Oh man these are all such ridiculous but funny as hell comments. Lds for life 🙌 Got some sore loser Catholics / haters out there lol Not all though. But anyways.. Especially as an ex roman-catholic that has seen far more virtuous, just as pretty, far more modest girls in Lds faith, can't help but laugh at that Lds "jealousy" of catholic girls apparently comment 🤣 Girls are girls everywhere man. No matter what faith. Great, beautiful, kissable, smart, enjoyable, whatever in any faith OR not. I for one, personally, prefer SOBER, far more sane, bigger conscience girls, non drug abusing gals I only find in Lds faith. Gotta admit though still.. In singing way 🎶 I KISSED a catholic girl and I liked iiiiit. Oh man that cherry chapstick! 🎶 🍒 💋 😜

After watching this video I knew I had to respond to the knockers of the Mormon faith. Ok, from the get go, I am a Catholic and an Ex- Mormon. These people who must espouse their vitriol and insane comments about Mormons (who are incidentally Christians despite what the 'woke' leftists believe) ought to read the Bible. Doesn't it say in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies? Bless and curse not? About time some of my fellow Catholic believers start reading scripture! One comment on your show said "Catholics are 1.5 Billion whilst the Mormons are only 13 Million! So what? Matthew 7: 13 " Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY THERE be which go in thereat" So as there are 1.5 Billion 'Christians' in The Catholic Church, I believe there will be more Catholics in hell, than Mormons. The Mormons are correct in saying that The Atonement is through Jesus Christ ( Moroni 7:41; Alma 42:15 and 2Nephi 10:25 to name just three) This lines up with Romans 5:11and Acts 4:10-12 in The New Testament of The Holy Bible. The Mormons are also correct not to believe in The Trinity. This was a formulation gained in apostasy by importing Hellenistic Philosophy from ca 4th century. The early Christians were not "Trinitarian" but Modalists. The other point I would like to add is the fact that, Salvation is through "Jesus Christ" (Acts4:10-12) and not The Catholic Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, The baptists, Jehovah's Witnesses or any other, no matter how right they think they are! So we need to focus Brethren on what is important and that is 'Christs Atonement' for us all. And that is my testimony brethren. Have an awesome day. ( And for those anti-mormons who want to continually spew out silly comments about things they know nothing about.....read the Book of Mormon so you will have a platform on which to comment about what The Mormons actually believe and why they say the things they do) Peace!

I was raised roman catholic at age 21 in June 23 1979 I turned my life to accepting Jesus Christ as y personak saviour Believing in him and calling on the name of the lord to be saved and confessing and repenting of my sins becoming a born again evangelical Christian from 1979 through 1985.ive been a LDS concert since Nov 10 1885. That was the day I got baptized and confirmed recieving the gift of the holy ghost . want to know why as a inactive member of the LDS church I have felt the burning in the bosom very strong doc and cov 9:7-9 just as much as if I had went to church. I have been inactive from the LDS church since 2017 and I feel the burning in the bosom more then I do then when I was going to church. Even as I am texting now I feel the spirit of God burning in my bosom. It's the holy ghost that I feel all over my neck and chess and shoulders it's a warm feeling like I've been consumed by the holy ghost. I also want to know how come I am getting confirmation of my evangelical beliefs from the Holy ghost .... I still believe in the basic doctrines of the evangelical Christian faith ..I received confirmation by the holy ghost . Years ago in 1985 when I was taking the missionary lessons before I got baptized and confirmed the missionaries told me whatever is good and true that I learned from my previous faith I can take a long with me. The missionaries said I did not have to throw away my old beliefs😅😀 that is good and true. Before I got baptized and confirmed into the LDS church in 1985 I had a spiritual experience of becoming a born again Christian June 23, 1979 when got saved. I knew that I was instantly saved .. when I joined the LDS church my feelings didn't change. I still knew I was saved and I still am a born again evangelical Christian after I got baptized the igitconfirmed. . When I had the baptism of the holy spirit pentecostal experience of recieving the gift of the holy ghost through the laying in of hands by the elders of the LDS church I felt like I received th😊😊😊😊 extra boost of the holy spirit. I still knew I was saved like I knew before. I just felt the extra pentecostal experience of recieving the fullness of the outpouring of the spirit. For me had seemed the pentecostal outpouring of recieving the holy spirit in the pentecostal churches and charismatic churches in the 1980s. Just before I was baptized and confirmed in the LDS church I was with a group that taught in modern day revelation and prophets and apostles etc I want to know why I am recieving confirmation by the holy ghost that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh and the holy ghost has revealed to me that Jesus Christ is not the brother of Lucifer and that Jesus was not born a spirit child begotten by elohim. The holy ghost has revealed to me that Jesus Christ always existed in the pre existence. Jesus Christ has two nature's one person Jesus is God and man. God became a man in earth which was Jesus Christ who is God and man. The holy spirit revealed to me Jesus Christ was born a virgin conceived if the holy ghost as God Emanuel with us. Igit a burning in the bosom if this through studying and praying I'm not getting a confirmation of the holy ghost of Jesus and Lucifer being brothers I'm not getting confirmation that Jesus was born a spirit child begotten by elohim in fact I'm getting the opposite feeling doc and cov 9:7-9... Some members are trying confirmation that those doctrines are true .. I'm not .

DRJEFFRIESSAYSLDS IS ATHEOLOGICALCULT I don't know much about RLDS but LDS is Christian. FLDS and LDS are very different. The FLDS church is known to practice polygamy and other various things that the LDS church does not. Yes, the LDS church did practice polygamy but not currently. If. You hear about Mormons practicing polygamy, it's most likely FLDS, not LDS.

I already had a LDS relative disown me because I'm gay. I already have had some of my evangelical friends of the past distance me because I was a converti in the LDS church. The flashback PTSD that I have with the title prophet seer revelator president if the church. And PTSD with statements " I know this church is true". "I know this is the true church ". " I know the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints is the only true church on the earth. I know Joseph Smith is a true prophet ". I come from a strict Roman catholic dogmatic. Rigid background in the 1950s and 1960s before Vatican 2.i grew up as a child terrified of going to another church that was not Roman catholic because I was taught the Roman catholic church was the only true church and all others were apostate. When I was 16 years old my high school and my high school male classmates wanted me to play the piano for them at their quarter group in the southern. Baptist church. My mother who was protestant was very supportive of me playing the piano for the men's quarter group in the southern Baptist church. My dad braiding us kids strict Roman catholic told me "well John to tell you the truthyouwillgo to hell for going to another church go ahead and tell the Roman Catholic priest he will tell you the same thing ". I called the Roman Catholic priest and my Roman Catholic priest told me I would be sinning going to another church and that I would have to say Five hail of Marys 19;our fathers etc. The Catholic priests told me not to participate in the services of another church or I will go to hell that was intimidating. In 1970 71 I ad a catechism religious instruction teacher in class teach hell and fire and brimstone. It's a sin to smash a snail it's a sin to not eat fish on Friday it's a sin to cuss it's a mortal sin to kill insects. It's a mortal sin to go to another church. It's a mortal sin to participate in another church service it's a mortal sin to read other nib Roman Catholic materials. It's a mortal sin to miss church. I was taught all the dos and donuts or else you will go to hell or purgatory or the lake of fire and brimstone. It was pounded in my head of fire and hell and damnation. I was not allowed to see the holy Bible. I didn't see the holy Bible until I became a born again evangelical Christian. My Mormon friends I grew up in the neighborhood introduced me to their parents and I would associate with my Mormon neighbor friends Michael and Terry. I met their parents. I heard the missionaries share the fullness of the gospel. I didn't really understand because I was so afraid to listen for dear id go to hell. Even at age 18 in 1976 I was afraid to take the morning missionary lessons because of my Roman Catholic background and I was also afraid of breaking my dad's heart. My dad said if I left the Roman Catholic church it would break his heart and all the family members. Even one of the Roman Catholic June I learned from said her heart was broken when I did leave Roman catholicism at age 19 in 1977....As a Roman Catholic as a child I did not like the smell of the incest I also had terrible nightmares of demons attacking me at night as a 5 6 7 8 9 10 and 11and 12 13 taking over my body and I saw evil demonic images in my room. I threw up vomited many times for no reason in. My sleep. Going to mass I frequently got nauseous and threw up in mass. I was scolded fior that by my dad. I didn't stop getting sick until I left the Roman Catholic church. My Mormon neighbor friends gave me a book of Mormon In 1978 1979. And I ask my mom what she thought of me reading the book of Mormon and my mother told mr "oh honey there's nothing wrong with you reading the book of Mormon. There's nothing wrong with your eating Budda whatever you decide to be be a good one. My dad disapproved if me reading. The book of Mormon. I still had fears of reading the book of Mormon because I feared my dad would disown me. Ijeot the book of Mormon in my room. When I was living with my parents. I was born in Yokohama Japan and my caucasionamerican parents adopted meat a Roman Catholic orphanage when I was 7 months old My father and all his family was strict Roman Catholic. On my mother's side of the family her family was protestant Mennonites ana Baptist novations. Walden's quakers. Mormons Christian science
