As always, Richard Elliott doesn't disappoint! The whole program is magnificent. I especially appreciated the opening George Dyson number, and the Bach 9/8 Prelude was quite simply the best I've ever heard! Hope we'll hear the fugue soon! Prof. Howard's commentary was illuminating, as usual.

It’s the absolute best and you can tell how much emotion he puts into it. I wish it was in print because I would love to have it.

Richard Elliott is a great organist. Truly world class. He could also be a cathedral organist in a large European cathedral. He would certainly have a deep feeling for the musical-liturgical moment here too. But the college is also filled with talented concert organists. I think only with Mr. Eliot there is a bit more feeling and living in and with the music. Even if he does something humorous. Here too, his depth for the music for the moment at hand is evident.
