NBC stop the sensationalism. The candy wasn't laced. It wasn't sold to a child. It was a labeled thc edible. A product that needs an adult ID to purchase. I saw this story this morning and did quite a bit of follow up. Where it came from and how it entered the house was not mentioned. The presentation of the packaging in question was blurred out but none of the other examples were. The part of the package that clearly stated THC was hidden behind the news bar. This is on the parents. This is similar to when children accidentally ingesting medication that's been taken out of childproof containers. I believe diabetes and blood pressure most commonly moved from the child proof into a pill organizing container. These are generally left on a surface in the kitchen where it won't be missed. Yes we can have a talk about packaging but the laws in that woman's state aren't that new. An adult needed to buy that VERY EXPENSIVE edible item with an ID. VERY. EXPENSIVE. This story reads as if there are bulk packages of "laced" mini candies about to be tossed into a cheap plastic pumpkin or pillowcase being held by unsuspecting victims. Jfc. This is seriously bad reporting. It shouldn't even be called journalism. What packaging did the gummie worm come in, that was held up and described as if THAT piece has THC in it? The boogie men here were the type of THC and the packaging. The ONLY item presented was the Sour Patch look alikes which CLEARLY states it's purpose. If parents know bright colors attract kids, they should probably store them in the shoebox on the top closest shelf in the parents room like my mom did when she hid her pot.

I heard “laced with drugs” as they showed a picture of “Stoney Patch Kids” which are clearly marked edibles made for sale in states where cannabis is legal. And I agree, this report was sloppy, misleading and fear mongering.

I'm not a liberal, but wearing or not wearing a mask is not so critical to ordinary people, sometimes we forget we have a mask on because we get used to it, then other times it keeps dust and toxic smoke away better, and allergies are blocked sometimes. It's a hassle to have to care so much about when and ware to wear a mask. I hope these days will pass soon. But if someone wants to wear a mask, it's their right. It's not that it is the only reason, I mean the world pandemic. Sometimes I wear one when I'm sanding wood or spray painting, or just feel I can breath better with the air filtered through the mask. Who cares? I'm sorry if it's a big issue to you. I don't always want to breath other people's breath spray, or moisture particles. I don't think it means it has a political reason. It's safer sometimes, but not something to hate people over. Get it? I don't need logic, I wear what I want because it's my right. Get over the stigma. It's easier to be easy about it.

Here in Vancouver you just need to show that you're cut out for the job firefighter and police training is rough because they want to make sure in emergencies you're able to do the job!
