Thanks again for a great video! I have this bookmarked in my new folder named "Begin Again" . I have had surgery and am just starting to regain what I lost.

Hi Susannah. Thank you for the wonderful exercises you created to strengthen bones. I started doing them a few weeks ago, and continue diligently since then every day. I diagnosed with early stage of osteoporosis at my 56 years old. I believe these exercises could add some density to my bones and at least stop progression of a disease.🤞🥰🥰

This is the first video of yours I have watched. I did the standing part, and am about to do the lying down part...(because I want those stretches to last a little longer than they do in the video.) I want to thank you for the encouraging tone in this video. I am just starting with a personal trainer. I find it much easier to stick with movement when I have guidance and support from time to time. The Strong Bones Challenge group has given me hope and some company in my quest to get healthier and stronger in my late 60s!

Looks lovely! But I wonder about forward bends ... I thought those are cautioned against..?
@ForeverYogawithSusannah Жыл бұрын
Thank you, good question! My take: unless a person is at high risk (previous fractures, very un-fit, etc) moderate forward bending (such as what I did in this video - I did not hold it at all) should be perfectly safe. We use our bodies in this way during daily activities so I believe it's important to keep those muscles activated during exercise as well. That said, I do often bend my knees and hinge at hips in order to avoid too much rounding. You will see that in the majority of my sessions.

I should have done this yesterday but instead, I guess I enjoyed the muscle soreness. 😅
